05.01.2013: starting up
as more hots replays came in and as hyeon provided me with HOTS beta access (thanks) i decided it was time to start this bad boy up. the format will remain somewhat the same, but try to use the template when submitting a replay, and add a tag to the submission. i'll revert back to the old TL Hacker Database threads style and group hackers by season. the OP also contains a list over strong and weak proof, well worth a peep.
guidelines
submitting a replay
i would prefer it if you uploaded the replays on drop.sc. that's where i'll be uploading them anyways, and you'll save me a few clicks, but it's not a must.
tags
the first line of your submission should be a tag. these tags have two purposes. first of all it makes it easy for me to prioritize, and it helps you not putting your foot in your mouth.
[SUSPECTED HACKER] - when you observe strong evidence of hacking or a plethora of weak evidence.
[NEEDS REVIEW] - this tag is for you to use when you have a replay that you think is suspicious, but contains no hard evidence. if you have even the slightest doubt, use this tag. name
this entry identifies the player. it is not enough with just a name, please provide the battle.net profile url as well. battle.net url can be found through the persons drop.sc page or through sc2gears (right click on their profile pic after loading a replay). server
self explanatory. EU/NA/KR/SEA. rank
provide league, points and preferably sc2ranks.com url. not only is it needed for infering what can and what can't be interpreted as evidence, but in addition a name change seems to take longer time on sc2ranks, in case of somebody trying to do a vanishing act. the sc2ranks url can be found on the players drop.sc homepage or through sc2gears in the same manner as bnet url. description
provide replay link, and instances of strong / weak evidences, as well with timestamps. the more conclusive the replay is, the more specific you can be, and the more specific you are, the more information you should fill out (spawns, races, ladder pointrs). do NOT post guesswork based on a replay tagged [NEEDS REVIEW, again, err on the side of caution. copyable template

First off he blindly 4 gates me on antiga (ladder) with no scouting at all, he places all 3 pylons close to my natural after that no blatant maphack but after my counter attacks basically kills him off and i'm waiting for gg his apm drops down to 0 for about 10 seconds before the replay ends and the game desyncs and resaults in a tie. I would also like to mention this was the first time a desync ever happened to me in hots and I played alot of it, the timing is also very suspicious, I would very much like to check his match history and tell you guys his exact ranking but match history is not working for the last few days in hots so I cant.

I caught RTStrauma cheating while watching Wilko's stream:

He used the Desync hack. It desynced right at the moment when it was obvious that he lost. The timing made it suspicious. And his match history makes it so obvious.
I chatted with him acting all innocent asking to learn his ways and he admitted it all to me. Here's our conversation.

Wilko is probably the worst lagger in SC2; every time I get matched up against him he drops or lags so hard the game drops. I don't think you can possibly infer anything from his stream.

Right now I think a lot of PvP is so coin flip based but... it's still pretty obvious when people are hacking now on HotS... like it's so blatant they just come in and kill you. It's really frustrating because as the person getting hacked against in PvP there is literally nothing you can do in the MU right now... :/
edit: obviously this isn't like a super prevalent hack, but I think people who are not playing HotS would be surprised to see how many people are hacking.. it's like NA server a few months ago... @_@

There's a ton of hackers/stream cheaters in HOTS. Just the other day I played someone that rally pointed their hatchery directly to my base and then 8 pooled lol. They realized their error and re-rallied their hatch to their main but it was too late, i'm just like "lol another hacker."

i suggest you post the replay the next time, so he can be listed, and the next time someone plays that person they'll know they're playing a hacker. just stating that there is a lot of hackers isn't helping.

I don't think theres much point to this thread since its general knowledge people maphack =P. There were maphackers in sc1 and wc3, if blizzard didn't give a shit before they DEFINITELY don't give a shit now. I'm just gonna only watch sc2 tournies until one magical day, when counting the money off of d3 and wow money gets old they might JUST might squat down and squeeze out a pebble of shit into sc2 and fix maphackers.

there has been several posts like yours in the WoL thread, and all have been shut down with reasons as to why people feel a thread like this is useful. just because you don't see the rationale behind the thread doesn't mean there isn't one. think a bit harder next time before you chime in.

I have about 200 hours of streaming-archive from the last 4 weeks. And i never lagged or droped even once. Try to find a game where i'm lagging or droping in my broadcast archives, you won't find one.
The other funny fact is that in my over 2000 HotS games i've played i never bmed a single person except RTStrauma because he used maphack and deynch-hack vs me and of top of that stream-sniped and stream-cheated me, which he of course also admitted.
That makes it almost 100% sure for me that RTStrauma is actually you and this is your TL-account

Has Blizzard really done nothing about this? I mean, it's normal for them to be slow about it, but total inaction is not like them.

David kim and Dustin browder have no control over hacking....they are balance/dev team of game play, their job has nothing to do with network/game security. Blizzard has a entire different team that works on that for all there games.
Blizzard was hiring for those positions last year. Blizzard lacks people in anti hacking it seems, they been hiring for over 2 years and still those jobs are not full yet lol. And it's beta guys, Blizzard has never monitored hacking on the beta, its a wast of their time. Blizzard even has Warden (anti cheat program) off during beta, It was the same way with WOL beta.

There have been tons of times ive been drop hacked, (I guess maphack isnt far from there). However the score screen always shows as error in a "tied" game. How do I get the nickname/id? especially when its a Barcode.

Hey guys. I want to report a maphacker in Hots beta. I did not know that there are already hacks in the game, but this one really made me wonder. (i think it is very obvious hacking).
I got dropped out of the game and it ended in a draw. Bnet servers are still online, so no server disconnection.
He is obviousely bad at this game, watched into my army in the fog of war the whole time, tried to engage when i unsieged, cought my hellions when they tried to runby, everything without any scout, prepared for battle without even seing my army coming etc.

Reason rag there is not a thread for hackers below masters, is because there are millions of accounts in those lower leagues with tons of the same names, it would be pointless as no one would be able to look out for them. At least in masters/gm the picking is 10x smaller and u can keep track of these hackers as gm pool is small and master pool is not much larger.

I randomed a 2v2. Near the start of the game one of the opponents (BePrepared) pauses the game; my ally seems annoyed and says that he previously played our two opponents (which I later verified from his game history) and they use a hack that pauses the game in such a way that you are unable to unpause it. Not but a few seconds later BePrepared pauses the game and then quickly leaves. Presumably it would have been a waiting match between us and BePrepared's ally, NicoleScherz, but we don't wait too long before we leave the game (thereby registering a loss).
Looking at BePrepared's game history, he had 9 2v2 matches within the last hour that were all very similar in game length (~80 seconds, even though the games were spaced ~8-10 minutes apart) and all were with NicoleScherz. This hacker is particularly distressing because he is GM in 1s, so I felt the need to make a TL account and post here (in addition to the in-game report).

please provide some replays to support that he is playing for the team in tournaments.
it should be fairly easy to confirm that they are the same player if you compare hotkeys & both are hacking.

This protoss player scouts me 0 times IN THE WHOLE GAME yet if u keep on track his personal viewpoint he keeps on checking my bases to see what im doing throughout the whole game. And in the game deciding moment when I move out of my base , like magic he just goes there at the perfect time and destroys my base. Its damn obvious game when you download and watch it from his point of view that its so ridiculously easy to notice.
The replay is short so its quite easy to confirm his maphack via watching it.

I got this into my PM box, it was also posted into the WoL thread as well, posting here in case someone missed it. Nice of them to use a hacker as a coach.
That was the least convincing response I've ever read. Guy is outed as a current hacker, with no less than half a dozen reports in this thread and their response is "he's not a player for us just a coach so we're good, right guys?"
In my mind this only casts doubt on the entire credibility of that organization. This guy needs a permaban
