I wonder if they’ll try to replace him with some star (easier said than done), or they’ll pivot to maybe a slightly different way of playing with Wirtz as the main man or something. | ||

Gravenberch renewed the contract if my memory serves me right, so I guess he'll be the DM in the near future at least. We'll see if Slot sticks around after this season. It feels like not much progress has been made under him. I could see the Alonso & Wirtz reunion happening over the summer if he doesn't get picked up by some other club before that. | ||

Sport1 German I'm taking complete guesses here, but I think it's possible they scan both legs as a general procedure and then somehow fumble the analysis from that point on. Still pretty baffling if there's any truth to it, but I can at least see some combination of human error, misunderstanding and bad protocols creating a combination where this could happen. Some of these stories also have some small seed of truth to them and then it gets deformed by all kinds of rumors and clickbaity stuff up to a point where you can barely recognize the original starting point. | ||

whats baffling to me though is that they apparently havent already agreed on their replacement. news coming out that theyre just now trying to persuade de zerbi to come when the manager slot is already vacant. i hope to god de zerbi says no. why on earth he would even want to join tottenham now when they are on the verge of championship is beyond me. hes a name being thrown around in man utd related news too, so hopefully he rejects tottenham simply because he thinks he has a chance at uniteds job | ||

"Tottenham Supporters' Trust says it cannot support De Zerbi appointment".: The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust held an emergency board meeting on Monday night and has now contacted the club to say it cannot support the appointment. The group told BBC Sport that it had received "a lot of emails from supporters" lodging complaints. Ali Speechly, the co-founder of Women of the Lane, said her group also opposed the appointment and she will stop attending matches over the issue. They're upset about De Zerbi's support of Mason Greenwood in his previous role, which I feel is a fairly reasonable position to take. | ||
