Meanwhile, back in England, the keeper is complaining about her jersey not being sold by Nike. Seriously, even the most die-hard football fans don't go for GK jerseys. Free Pickford jersey? Er, no thanks. The FIFA president says a lot of nonsense. But there's some sense in the advice of picking the right battles...

So what happens if they go bankrupt during the season? https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1694428059791712314 Are they actually in danger of bankruptcy? My understanding was that they had serious FFP issues, not that they were broke. The owner is rich after all

The owner is rich after all Will Mashiri stick around and bail them out? They’ve pretty serious FFP issues as it is, liable to turn into potential existential financial issues if they drop out of the top flight, to my understanding. Especially as, understandably the fans haven’t been super enthused by his stewardship thus far, but will really turn if they get relegated. He’ll get booed any time he steps foot in the stadium, incredibly likely to get verbal abuse if he’s out in Liverpool. He has sunk money in, just not exactly judiciously to put it mildly. But would you throw more money at an asset that’s unlikely to give you any commercial return, and in a reputational sense will see people view you with disdain regardless?

Be very surprised if women still want her jersey after the final. Screaming foul obscenities at the opposition after saving that penalty. A terrible example and incredibly unattractive

And to be fair, its way too normal for players to complain or shout at refs, even in premier league.

If refs are going to completely ignore the rules because of their own personal feelings its little wonder they get complained at!

I guess that's to give him a chance to resign himself as quietly as he can.
