They didn't wait for that. They already told Argentina those players weren't allowed to play before the match.

The Argentinian players lied on official documents claiming they weren't in England in the last 14 days, were told by authorities they had to stay in their hotel until they'd have to leave the country but then proceeded to go to the game anyway to play. Totally agree, also all players and staff signed the document before entering Brazil so they should all know, and 9 Brazil players left out so can not believe they are not aware of rules, they simply tried to ignore health rules. Also find it disgusting to go to FIFA and CONMEBOL for approval and ignoring local laws.

Brazil basically got to run a Copa America because they didn’t give a massive fuck about Covid, it seems a bit rich to now care. That said yes, Argentina’s management of this has also been horrendous and their punishment is fair.

It also make no sense to logical thinking person, that the 4 players lived in bubble with the rest of team doing physical sports together. For me that makes the whole team equally (un) safe. But stil if countries haven't made rules the allow exception, Argentina can not just ignore laws because they are superstars and earn lot of money, this would also give them advantage over other teams

I am happy: I was getting worried that we might actually show some good football in the qualifiers and just fail towards the end. Failing right from the start is much better!

Failing right from the start is so about Ukraine, having 5 draws in 5 matches is something weird, especially when you are having the same results playing vs France and vs Kazakhstan -.-

So many draws that realistically anyone can still get the second place and it'll likely come down to the very last games of the group. Kazakhstan's results especially are baffling as you said, but that just makes it all the more tense.
