I’m not sure he would have, he strikes me as a player thriving with a lot working around him at Newcastle, and as depleted as compared to previous years that Arsenal are, you can’t really build around Willock
Smith-Rowe, Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard if you bring him back are just better players.
It’s a little with Lingaard going back to United where he’s clearly going to do better at a West Ham.

I do feel it's reasonably likely that Ødegaard goes to Arsenal. Guy wants to be a consistent starter and it doesn't look like RM is gonna give him that.

Have arguably one of best players at left back in the league in Tierney and they spent money signing a left back? Lacazette and Augamon not in squad due to "illness" and have 0 threat up front. I mean a "base" is there but they look so "easy" to play vs, i mean Brentford do not look good but Arsenal are just poor in the final 3rd.

Any thoughts on the matches today? Looks pretty quiet matchday in PL at least, the only big 6 clash is tomorrow. Real Madrid's opener is late at evening and PSG plays too, but as far as I can tell it's still mostly the older guard for PSG.
Edit: Actually it might be Messi debut. Ramos is missing and some other injuries, but I guess it could still be Wijnaldum, Messi and Donnamrumma playing.
