ended up being the difference in the game then the refs randomly review a UGA catch later in the game that was nowhere close to not being a catch refereeing in sports overall is just going down the shitter

Like you said, the Committee is fucked either way. I'd rather they keep Georgia and put Bama #5 than let them in. GA lost the last game of the season. Bama lost early. To Texas. So you have to put Michigan, Texas, Washington in. Then you're looking at the other 3 top contenders and it has to be Georgia as the defending champs. Or you put in FL St and no SEC.

FSU is clearly not a top 4 team without Jordan Travis but I think you create more problems denying a 13-0 P5 champion even if the situation isnt good Georgia basically ran into the problem of losing at the wrong time. Time and time again college football shows it's better to lose early in the year than later. Georgia's only hope was a double loss to FSU and Michigan and Iowa aint pulling that off

OSU was on the outside looking in FSU defense is good enough but the offense is going to be a trainwreck. should be better with the 2nd string qb back in the playoff but still significantly worse without Jordan Travis

It will keep people discussing the game. And it will drive engagement on social media to absurd levels. Afterall everybody loves to complain/gloat about the Refs shafting <insert team>. The league has little to no incentive to fix this issue. It creates attention, outreach and discussion. And people forget about the previous bad call, as soon as the next garbage decision is made. Refs could probably be replaced with sensors and computized decision making. But that costs a lot of money. And it kills off the whole social-media-shitstorm-thing when the refs fuck up.
