(I'm a real football table statistics junkie. One very solid trend I have observed over many years in many different countries, is that teams with bad point ratios but good goal difference from the first 10 games virtually always end up increasing their average point per game as the season progresses. Looking at the La Liga table, the goal difference makes me highly confident that Valencia (15th place, but 17-17 in goals) will end up above Granada (8th place but 11-17 goals for/against) by the end of the season. )

Minnesota United have had really terrible starts in their two playoff games before having a defender have to header the ball from going in on the line before scoring 3 goals. I think it just might be a focus thing that they need to get into the moment and not think so far ahead.

Just after they've equalised Tis how this seaon is going: referees trying to follow the letter of the law and no common sense. I thought the ref was appalling though. He was very lenient on Palace. They were niggling away at the Albion players from the beginning and the ref awarded some free-kicks but needed to book a Palace player or two to stop the fouls. For example, in the first half, Zaha pushed someone after a free-kick had been awarded to Palace and the ref had a word with him to calm down. A little later Zaha lost the ball and grabbed an arm to stop the Albion player running away and somehow he wasn't booked for stopping a counter-attack. A minute or two later, Zaha thought he had been fouled but wasn't given a free-kick and immediately fouled Sawyers, and the ref had another word with Zaha. Zaha was given two warnings without being booked. Pereira had a petulant kick at Van Aanholdt after being fouled and was given a red card. Also, the tackle McCarthur's was booked for was more dangerous than Pereira's retaliation. And that tackle stopped a counter-attack.

Agree with all of this except that I don't think what Pereira did can even be considered a kick, let alone petulant. There was zero force, his feet just kinda were there because he was on his back. Zaha was very lucky to not get yellow carded at all.

For Liverpool it might be at least Minamino and Origi starting, maybe Tsimikas or Harvey Elliott or some less known midfielders too.
