What a fucking move that was, thought things would be cagey but England have come out of the blocks flying

Bit of a football cliche but I do feel there’s something in that particular one

It's pretty widespread yes

This is, weird.
How are England playing with more zest, quality and zip right off the blocks in a final than they’ve exhibited basically all tournament?
I’m used to England being inhibited on the Ro8 stage and they make a final and it’s like the shackles are off?
I have no doubt Italy will come into it and have their periods of supremacy but it certainly doesn’t look like England are going to choke and play terribly. Which is, a very strange and novel feeling

This game has started great

Stage is set for a great final for the neutral. Of which I am not one mind

Well, Italy definitely did not expect England to switch to this formation. That plan worked perfectly. Now we will have to see if they can adapt to it.

What a shambles. And so dangerous with the delta variant running rampant.

I’m not sure it’s that, football media over here were pretty confident they’d go back to the back 3. Don’t think it’s any kind of tactical surprise I think it’s just currently England have come out in better shape

Similar to how Germany dismantled Portugal. So if Italy were aware they didn't prepare very well.

Feel Italy is getting better into the match. Seeing Italy i don't understand what Veretti brings instead of Locatelli.
