BUT what they can achieve beyond the group phase has to be seen. Dortmund is really no indicator. We won a few league games this season already but there is no system, no will. There is all the talent but nothing else at the moment. | ||

FIFA Want this to replace champions league, but the premier league would still conitnue. It might spoil european football this super league if you play Real Madrid twice a year every year? Not sure. The money involved in this dwarfs that in the champs league right now and with COVID destroying income for every club right now....their is a big chance this might indeed happen. | ||

I think killing the league cup should probably happen or make it the league cup and exclude the premier league, so its just a cup for championship, league 1 and league 2 teams. Premier league doesn't need it and maybe that way the rest of the prem teams would then take the FA cup more seriously. | ||

So I guess Dortmund are specialists in playing Real twice a year for lots of years and as a fan I could tell you, that every cl-draw came down to hoping: please Barca, not Real, please everybody not Real. On matchday you're still hyped just because it's your team playing but yeah... I'd be interested in the playoffs I guess. That's what is great about CL: elimination games. | ||
