Barça didn't even play that bad, they just aren't anywhere near Bayern's level. That's what makes it 100% Bartomeu's fault and at the end I was wishing for more goals (even happy Coutinho scored 2) so maybe they get early elections. But sadly with the virus the league starts again in a few weeks and there's no way they can do so many changes that fast. Next year is going to be just as bad if not worse.

If I'm Messi, I'm changing clubs right now.

I think issue is Barca have too many shit players they recruited as stop gaps ala Vidal. They needed to have Suarez replacement already and they do not. This game should have started with Fati, Greasyman and Messi in a front 3, at least then you have two wingers who gonna run backwards instead of none.

Alba and Pique also look like they have the wrong attitude and poor Biscuits is just too old to cover the ground he once did. They do i think have the replacements ready for Biscuits, even though its probably 2 players that are needed to replace him in Rakitic alongside DeJong.

Still the main issue for them is ageing players who were "replaced" by stop gaps like Vidal which is not working. Who is replacing Suarez next season? Who replaces Pique and Alba ?

We got Pjanic, no worries. 2020-21 is going to be a hell of a season in Spain. Real can't recruit either.

Pique just said the clubs need a lot of changes, and not only players or coaches. And he's saying he's offering to leave himself to change the cycle. Good.

I didn't think Barca was anywhere near as good as Bayern before this game, but they could have been up 4-1 very early considering how Bayern defended. It isn't that Barca was competitive, it's just that Bayern isn't all that impressive either, a good defensive opponent will cause them a world of trouble, they'll probably just luck out that there is none left.

Issue is Barca can't lose both Suarez and Messi right now as the players they have left need one of them. Fati and Greasyman combined maybe come close to "replacing" Messi but who replaces Suarez then? Dembele? lol then who else is there. The midfield isn't that big of an issue if they get rid of Vidal and find out how to set up without Biscuits who clearly needs a break/walk off into the sunset.

The back 4 also needs a rejig, not sure how u replace them all though.

At least they got Ter Stegen though xd

Ter Stegen, Lenglet, Umtiti, Semedo, De Jong, Puig, Fati, Dembele. Maybe Alba for the transition as he still has some juice. Everybody else can go, imo. If next year is going to be shit anyway, might as well do the drastic changes now.

On a more positive note, and because maybe we should talk about the winner more... Bayern is damn impressive. Yeah, not super strong defensively but their sides are crazy. They have 4-5 rockets, powered by Goretzka, Thiago, and Muller. Really scary. I really really really really want to watch City play them. That's game of the year instantly. I think they'll create a lot more problems for Bayern. 50/50 for me, with a slight edge for Bayern because they don't have Sterling missing 5 chances a game.

One thing I'm curious is who is going to be the leader in future Barca player roster. I don't think they've really had a giant character to rally the troops since Puyol retired.
