Pandemona: The draws for the remaining rounds will take place in Nyon, Switzerland tomorrow, Friday 10 July, from 11am UK time. The UEFA executive committee previously announced that the 2020/21 Champions League group stage would begin on 20 October. Pande just linked me this and it made me look up next season schedule: - still 6 CL/EL groupstage games until early December - 3 national team breaks with 6 games of Nations league - most leagues starting later than usual, PL will be 4/5 weeks We all knew it was going to be brutal, but holy hell they aren't even trying to make it any easier. At least there is no doubt now that the 5 subs rule needed to stay around.

In Germany VAR is okay with a few bad exceptions. In England VAR is horrible with few good exceptions ![]() EDIT: Also this

Atalanta are one such streaky team and PSG haven’t exactly had much match practice could see them as a real dark horse. They do blow very hot and cold though. Maybe Barca can band together amidst all this friction with the board and likely losing the league and have a real push with their ageing squad. They only need to get it right for a few games, or have Messi on inspired form once or twice. Amongst the field I’d say City, Real and Bayern are the most strong since leagues restarted and one of the first two are going to eliminate one another. Pretty exciting times regardless, don’t recall a last 8 so potentially open in many a year.

No way in hell are Atletico going to win CL, just because they fluked a win vs a good side once.

And who stands in their way in that bottom half? PSG? PSG semi final vs the defensive masterclass Simeone would put out...i would back them over PSG who have not kicked a ball in 6 months xd Then in the final vs whoever it is 90 minutes! 1 game, 1 night

Perhaps it was watching it in the pub with many Liverpool fans both legs, as a neutral it didn’t feel like quite the defensive masterclass we’ve seen in the past, where Athletico barely gave you a sniff. Anyway hopefully Atalanta can take out PSG and Athletico get past Leipzig. Would be such a total clash of styles, could be interesting.
