I still find it really alarming how much logistics Arsenal needs to make to acquire players, but at the same time it's really good to see them doing the work. Even if it's not some Neymar level stuff, it creates a really nice and active image for the club.
Hopefully the young kids are able to break through and bring Arsenal closer to a top contender again.

Chelsea got linked with Zaha today, would be quite funny if we managed to sign him from under Arsenal's noses while banned. I am not his biggest fan Zaha, i would have preferred Pepe (He has signed for Napoli for £72 million) but i don't mind him for next season instead of Willian and Pedro.

Is the Chelsea transfer ban kind of a registration block, but not any obstruction for making transfer deals? So you're able to do similar contract as Liverpool had with Keita where the actual transfer kicks in season later or so?

The transfer ban really is a registration ban, you can't register new players to play for your team. No issue with buying them and directly loaning them out again , don't need to be registered if they aren't intended to be played.

Yeah we would loan him back to palace, but i wanted them to do that with Pepe, get him done and then loan him back to Lille who have champions league football to play this season so he could got even more experience. Sadly though Napoli picked him up but Chelsea are in the market for a winger or 2 with Willian and Pedro both being 33 and 33 respectively at the start of the next campaign.

I know pre-season games are not as relevant, but Atletico Madrid just put seven past Real yesterday and it was 6-0 before Diego Costa wanted to hit the shower and just took a straight red card. Real scored three though but still, conceding 6 goals in 60 minutes is pretty embarrassing no matter on what platform.

I wonder if that tells us something on how the Sane negotiations are going for City. "Meh, the guy wasn't that talented anyway. Phil Foden is the real talent."

Phil Foden is the real talent....i dont play him though he just sits on the bench while DeBruyne, Silva and Bernado play instead....oh and we buy a £60 million CM player to compete with him.
Pep is awful at PR and such lol. Needs someone to speak for him.
On that nutty Madrid game, wow. Costa, was rumoured to be on his way to Wolves or Everton....so glad that didn't happen i would have been so sad watching him t here when he has that quality in his locker still. It is only pre season though but still shipping 7 goals must be concerning somewhere.
Also Mike Ashley interview is worth a read if you got a spare 10 minutes.

Maybe I'm biased as a Barcelona supporter but I don't think Real Madrid will win la liga this year. They still have a lot of problems that they had last year (when they finished #3). Modrid and marcelo are old. Kroos has been very irregular lately and Nacho has been bad for 2 years. Zidane "hated" too much players that could have helped to the team (Llorente, Hermoso and Reguilon played well last year. And Bale and James are good players). They don't have a good sub for Casemiro after selling Llorente. Asensio is out all the season. And I'm not even sure if Courtois is better than Navas.
Yes, they have Hazard and some new promising players. And probably thanks to Hazard they will do better than last year, but I don't see them winning la liga. I think the planification with Zidane has been bad.

Arsenal still have 0 defenders, captain wants out, and they sign more forwards, still linked with forwards and attacking players when dont have a defense at all. They are literally a poor version of Real Madrid lol.

That attack looks good enough to contest the top 4 easily. Interesting to see if they've got some affordable defence plan set up too. How's the midfield looking?

Not sure if this anecdote will interest anyone. But we are in Zhongwei, Ningxia today following our tour along the Yellow River. Anyway I went to a buddhist temple and a monk tried to talk to me (My Chinese has not improved despite the time I have spent here). He asked if I was American and I replied that no I am from England and his eyes lit up and he started naming rather outdated football players "Beckham", "Ronney" (fair enough) but then heavily accented "Owen" and it took me a while to realise he meant Michael Owen then the last one really surprised me "Seaman" complete with an imitation of a goal keeper throwing the ball out into play. Just amussed me that he knew who David Seamen was. Not many people when they think of England will think of David Seamen.

this video actually makes me cry how beautiful almost all penalties are shot
Why did footballers decide that shooting pks is not a useful skill toi have?
