I think if PSG lifts CL trophy in 2018 he can potentially be acknowledged as the best player in the world in 2018. If he stays in Barcelona and they win the double, he's not going to be given the same credit. If he brings PSG 2 trophies in the next 4 years, he's starting to look truly great.. So obviously he's not gonna be placed on the same level as the two players who have consistently dominated for a full decade because of one year, but I think he has a better chance at ballon d'or at PSG than at Barcelona as long as Messi is still there, although I guess 2018 is gonna be decided by the world cup anyway. ![]()

I dont think that many people will hate him. In all honesty he has come out looking like the most professional person in the whole situation. Didnt go around saying shit, quietly went about his negotiations and played pretty much as hard as he could have during the pre season. It stings obviously but this is nothing like the Figo move like some people seem to think.

PSG didnt get him to win the league. they got him to win the Cl, not the league if he does he can say he did it on his own without Messi and Suarez etc etc. In some ways the game would be better off more people thought like that. Perhaps not in this case specifically. I dont think that many people will hate him. In all honesty he has come out looking like the most professional person in the whole situation. I pretty much counter pointed most of the comments. Im saying that there is a good reason and that your point of view is different from his and his is just as justifiable as yours if not more so.. And I disagree that he is being hated, and there is certainly a good enough reason to make the move. Its debatable as all things are but its good enough. If your butthurt about that I cant help you, regardless of whether my tone is condescending or not. Cry me a river lol. Maybe focus less on the tone and more on the content, I hear that helps. (condescending enough for you ?) Edit:+ Show Spoiler + Also since i am being an asshole anyway since... its incredibly arrogant to think "if it were you" when there is no chance in all of the hells in all of the universes that you will ever make decisions like these.

not sure how you didnt find the common point between our posts and you come to the conclusion that i was being butthurt about having a different opinion to neymars. maybe focus on the content more next time also if youve never thought about what you mightve done if you were in someone else position, youre either an absolute retard or a hypocrite. its not about whether or not the scenario could be a possibility for me, its comparing choices and evaluating decisions. since you brought up the possibility of whether id be involved in something like this, the answer is yes and no. my job specifically involves high valued contract deals and making decisions for the good of the future of my company. my scenario and his arent that far apart. please dont make assumptions about people you dont even know. if you lost the arrogant condescending personality people might actually value your opinion. its not the first time people have pointed out your personality flaws. grow up and get some social skills. theres more to the world than hiding behind your keyboard and talking shit about everyone in this thread (and maybe any other thread. not that ive ever seen you elsewhere) when their opinion differs from yours

Fortunately im not really looking for validation, nor a lesson in social skills. You havent really made any valid points yet. Just kept insulting me, which is a pretty big bonus when trying to get your opinion valued. You have yet to actually explain silly old me what the hugely common points in our posts are. Most of the time you have just been responding the baits im throwing in as afterthoughts. For someone who makes hugely important decisions thats a some pretty thin skin my dude. edit: and please space out things a bit. My eyes hurt at walls of texts. I hope you dont share your hugely important business thoughts like that ?

When you have ambition, you don't settle for being number 2. It might be a team sport but it's still 11 individuals. I assure you I had rather be the first man here than the second man in Rome. For someone who has the potential to be the best player in the world I can understand not wanting yo stay in Messi's shadow. I'd rather go to a different club than PSG though. A big PL club would be great.

Yeah that what i trying to figure out. Whether PSG gave him the money, or Qatar. I can't see Qatar giving him the money without announcing him being the fact of the World Cup by now. If not how did he have the money already or whatever.

There wasn't any time yet to properly announce Neymar as poster child for the 2022 WC or whatever, you need promotional material to do that.

Another funny thing. Santos is asking money for his transfer to Paris. But I'm not sure this is considered a transfer. Neymar bought his clause then signed as a free agent, no? So apparently, Barça is trying to sign Coutinho + Dembelé. I like the idea of getting Dembelé, but him + Coutinho means that Coutinho will have to play in Iniesta's position and I don't liiiiike that. André Gomes + Turan + Rafinha + Coutinho + Rakitic, they have to kick at least 2... knowing that a few more youngsters are coming like Aleña. I would get rid of Turan and Gomes, and try to get a substitute for Busquets instead. Unless the idea is to play Sergi Roberto there? Since they have 2 right backs now, he won't play there anymore. They're also trying to sign Inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad for 30+M€. Not sure how I feel about that. The team doesn't need him for this season, and next season they can get Yerry Mina and/or Davinson Sanchez from Ajax, who are 5 years younger and probably better and much cheaper.

In Spanish sport law, the player must pay the release clause, because he is "paying for his freedom" (That was the reason for the release clause existence decades ago), so the club can't pay it directly. But nowadays, the club (PSG) gives the money to the player, and he pays. So in some moment, Neymar had all that money in his hands xDDD

Seeing as the league blocked it and Barca accepted payment isn't it more likely that the buyout was not used and instead a "regular" transfer for the same amount? Also the moneys apparently
