Tibo is going back to Madrid because his children are growing up there. He has 12 months left on his deal and rejected a £200,000 deal because he wants to go back to Spain to watch his kids grow up. Which you can't argue with that. It is his own doing though, he cheated on his gf (mother of his kids) with DeBruyne's ex gf/current gf i forget which and that caused the split and she went back to live in Spain. | ||

He had not proven himself yet in a top league. Imagine if he joined a club like Dortmund instead. He would have gotten the opportunities to play and be a sta His move to stoke was good in that it allowed him to restart his career. Stoke was also an exciting project with the likes of bojan and anaurtovic. Sadly the club isn't good enough, and all his brilliance got overshadowed by their relegation struggles. | ||

Real Madrid cannot afford him, why would we throw away our biggest star for no compensation. Also if he did go to Madrid he would be back on the market after 2 seasons anyway. Perez has made his feelings known that he wants Neymar over anyone else but they can't afford him. They will be signing Tibo it seems for <50million which is a steal anyway and then i assume they will find a few other younger players in Spain for cheap. | ||

I think Liverpool is probably right to make the moves right now considering their roster and form, but at the same time it feels the player values have reached a certain point when Real Madrid complains about the market prices. There might be a bubble bursting unless some more oil money gets injected. | ||
