I don't watch college basketball, but is this LaVar Ball kid actually any good, or he's aite (for a freshman), and news picking up on his dad saying dumb stuff?

LaVar Ball is the dad

The freshman is Lonzo Ball, who's got a ton of hype and will be a top 3 pick in the draft probably. Someone more knowledgeable will explain further, all I know is that he has a wonky jumpshot.

He's good. Will be a starting PG minimum, probably will be a ROY candidate, but Im not high on him being the next Penny.

i don't think the dad's behaviours are 100% evil/negative/bad. he is also looking out for his kids and protecting his kids' financial interests. he does not want to see them get scalped in any business deals. lots of great athletes rich in their 20s struggle financially in their 40s.

He's probably a good dad but the way he talks to the media about his sons saying that Lonzo is better than Steph and all that puts a lot of pressure on his kids. They now have extra expectations from the rest of the world not just on the court, but what they do off the court. It's just irresponsible if you ask me and it's unfair for Lonzo and his brothers.

Aldridge is cleared to play. The NBA outlawed medical monitoring devices for NBA players during game time. I wonder if a case like this combined with MLB partnering with one of these medical giants for these devices will alter the NBA's stance.

From what I've heard of ppl who follow the HS scene (mainly Jacobson) is that Lonzo is probably the best of the Ball brothers, though the younger one still has a lot of potential obviously and has the size already. The middle one, senior in HS, is the worst of the 3, and many ppl don't think he is a one-and-done and maybe not even an NBA player.

lonzo ball is pretty good but that's about it.

lonzo ball - prob decent to really good player in nba
liangelo ball - lucky if he makes nba
lamelo ball - still young but there are better prospects

for reference lonzo was a top 5 player in high school and stayed relatively in a similar place till now
li angelo is not even top 200 i think in hs
la melo is around top 30?

like they are blowing by Wiggins like he is standing still. to be fair once Rubio got his 4th foul the entire Minnie defense was in total disarray making Wiggins poor decision look a lot worse.

Rubio is a nice QB for Minnie on both sides of the floor.
