To be fair Andre Gomes is a great player though he is like Turan wasted in Barcelona because they have to many attack minded midfielders/players in general compared to what they actually need in midfield.
Barca pretty much need a minimum of 2 Biscuits if not 3 imo so they front can play the way they want too. They have not got that at all and when Biscuits/Iniesta and Messi go, well lets hope the find replacements fast.

What barca needs is someone like modric, kroos, schweinsteiger. Midfielders who can do dirty work but also play genius playmaker passes

Well whilst that i agree with. Modric and Kroos don't do the dirty as well as Biscuits does for example or Bastian did. Also to be fair Casemiro does carry that Real midfield with the "tackling" side of things.
Khedira probably another who should be in the list as he can do best of both worlds, maybe not so well as he could but for sure he is better than Kroos and Modric at both sides for me.

obviously Casemiro does most but I think you really underestimate the work ethic of both Kroos and Modric. They are real #8s
