I wouldn't be surprised if somehow a fight between Conor and Khabib never happens because I can't be the only that sees how Khabib's heavy wrestling style would just smother Conor and take away all of his weapons. Nobody in power at the UFC wants to see their cash-cow get dominated and lose appeal. That's pretty ridiculous to say, Conor can beat Khabib and Khabib can beat Conor. I think Khabib is Conors biggest threat currently at 155 but Khabib needs to clean up his stand-up a little bit. He got rocked by Johnson, if that was Conor, it'd probably have been a Rd1 TKO. Khabib gets way too sloppy on the feet and Conor will exploit that hardcore. I'm not sure Conor can keep Khabib from taking him down or keeping him there though, Khabib's top game is absolutely brutal. This is a great fight for diehard fans but I can't imagine it's a fight Conor is very interested in taking. For starters, Khabib is essentially a nobody (to mainstream fans) with no real draw or ability to sell the fight and he's also the most dangerous opponent at 155. Conor seems to like to take risks but only when they're very high reward. Khabib is high risk, low reward for his brand, it's a huge fight for the dedicated hardcore fans though.

At the time i mentioned that 1 injury ( a contingency) would derail the PPV. Now due to 205 contingencies they've added 2 fights to 206 so that it'll now take 2 injuries ( contingency ) rather than 1 injury to derail 206. Thanks for letting us know 206 won't sell as well as a McG event. 205 broke every PPV and Gate record. Thx for agreeing with me. You knew exactly what 206 was all about when the UFC set the price for tickets in the lower bowl. <30 rows from the ring @ $150 USD. Ticket prices are dirt cheap. Once ticket prices were announced it made GSP speculation silly. On November 15 2016 03:20 JimmiC wrote: Yeah Mcgoat is a huge lightweight. The story line that he is fighitng guys way bigger then him won last. What is amazing was his cut to 145! McG weighed in at 154.4 and weighed 168 before the Nate fight with no weight cut. McG isn't huge for lightweight. Nick Diaz is huge for lightweight. i'd say McG is average size for 155 and gets easily dominated if he fights any top welterweight. Unlike, Nick Diaz, who easily moved from lightweight to welterweight around 2009 and competed well.

When he was fighting there it was utterly shocking he won his first couple cause he looked tiny. Once he faught a big WW with good wrestling he got tossed around and returned to LW his natural Weightclass. And also McGoats natural weight class. Mcgoat is just doing what he does and selling the fights with hyperbole. If you are a UFC fan who follows it, and has watched the fights seen them side by side and so on I have no idea how you can think that Diaz is bigger. Taller but slimer. If you think McGoat is small for lightweight alverez needs to drop 2 weight classes cause he must be TINY. try reading what i posted. Nick Diaz is huge for a lightweight and i mentioned that in 2009 NICK moved from 155 to 170. Nate toyed with WW ~2011. Nick Diaz is huge for lightweight. McG is average for lightweight.

And second part which seems to be what matters most to conner (and should) I don't think Conor is too interested in fighting right now. He definitely wont have a fight that is a step down from what he's been doing, he's just not that kind of person, so fighting Aldo is 100% out of the question. The only people I can really see him fighting are Woodley, GSP, Nick/Nate... Or potentially some other top welterweight like Robbie Lawler. Looking through the UFC rankings, there really is nobody for him to fight in Featherweight, so that's 100% out. In lightweight Tony Ferguson and Khabib are both very good, imo Ferguson is better, but they don't have the starpower, it seems fairly wasteful to want to fight them when he's able to call the shots. I can't see them bring in more fans than Nate Diaz or fighting for the Lightweight belt. In welterweight, Demian Maia is same as the Lightweight guys, too risky without any hype, Thompson as well... Woodley, Lawler, and Cerrone are the only options there. Anyway, idk... We will see what he does if he wants to keep topping records. Also, as a side note, a question for you guys. How often do you guys think a champion should be required to defend his belt? I heavily disagree with the current notion that it has to be like all the time... Make the belt mean something, let the champion have some power, let all the contestants fight it out before some random dude gets a title shot. In my opinion, a champion should be required to fight once every 12-15 months to defend the belt, if he wants to fight more, that's his choice. Nowadays there's so many championship fights that it feels like it has a lot less meaning than it used to. Everyone is in a rush for Aldo to fight McGregor, but the way I see it is it's like what's the rush. I mean if he doesn't fight him next, I can see the argument, but like, especially when it was only two Diaz fights, so close after one another, and then this fight... What's the rush. You get knocked out in 13 seconds, we have a decision, why should you be entitled to some immediate rematch. To me it's weird how we expect the champion to fight for the belt so often. In chess we have a world championship match every 2-3 years, how stupid would it be if it was 3x a year. My viewpoint is we don't have to be so serious, and having casual fights in between like Bisping vs Henderson is totally fine. Pick match-ups that have a story, excitement, etc. half the time, choose top contenders the other half. So in this sense, I think that McGregor would easily be able to fulfill his obligations of defending both belts once a year, and still have time for one-two fan fights, or trying to go for a 3rd belt, etc. But yeah, I can't see McGregor be content with just sitting as champ and fighting off competition. I think there's a bigger chance he'd go for a 4th belt than just sit on these two belts and fight off competitors compared to retiring.

El Cucuy. I think his UFC record is more impressive than Khabib's. One of the most unique styles in the UFC. The entire fight it just looks like he doesn't know what he's doing, but somehow he always makes it work. Is there even a better clip from a fight than in that video at 4:41 at 0.25x speed?
