Yeah its around Feb and the first of CL so they should start pissing it away round about now. You're right. Still it would be hilarious.

pretty much no chance for advancement but I think they can feel alright about their performance - that is, the players that didn't miss sitters.

I thought they played well, just not like if their lives depended on it. It's a two-leg matchup, no reason to go all-in from the first game, especially knowing they almost automatically win in the Camp Nou... They could have passed the ball a bit faster, but for a team that just played a thousand games since December (and winning almost all of them), I think they did ok ![]()

Yep that is the game i watched too. For MSN being the best 3 strikers in the world which no one can doubt right now. The other 7 players are hardly the best in the world, Iniesta, did he do anything tonight? Guy was best in the world few seasons ago but time has come to him now. Pique out of the 2nd leg as well if Arsenal were not to squander to what they did would have made it interesting, but oh well. It's February its time for Arsenal to shit the bed.

Yeah but you dont need 7 players to be the best players on their position. That doesnt make for a great team anyway. Its unfair to be too critical. They had a plan, they stuck with it, executed it well enough. Didnt work. I am a firm believe that you cannot win things without a world class striker. Someone who can create their own goals from time to time. And Arsenal has lacked that since Henry pretty much. RVP had like one season and he saved his real league winning goals for United.

Bayern didn't have a world class striker when they won their treble.

Busquets #1, Iniesta #1-2 (find me a better playmaker in the game right now), Alves/Alba top #1-3, Mascherano and Piqué are top #5 but too many haters, and Rakitic I'm not sure how to rank him this season but last season he wasn't exceptional. Also, the clean 0-2 might be a bit harsh for Arsenal, but I don't think they were ever in the position to win that game. Barcelona never really accelerated and they could have scored 4-5. Arsenal only had 2 clear opportunities in the whole game...

The point was a healthy influx of goals from somewhere. There are instances of other teams of winning well without world class strikers. Nothing is absolute. Pointing out outliers to a general trend isnt really a solid argument. But most of your commentary operates on exceptions and nitpicking anyway so I guess we can be used to that. But that doesnt change my belief because once every 30 years someone manages to do it. Also Japan sucks at football.

Such a dominance in the first 60 minutes away against a great team like juve, you just gotta keep that lead! I think pep really screwed up the changes. He should've taken young Kimmich off. He did a great first half but of course a young player who plays on a new position + in CL gets nervous when the match turns. Then he should've taken off Costa earlier. He was so tired in the second half and didn't do shit. Bring Ribery on earlier or Coman. And then of course we still had 1 exchange left in the end... wtf? Why did he just miss out on bringing one more fresh player when we have a good bench and the match is clearly turning around? Really genius Pep
