what a striker Yes he created both goals, and 3 chances for himself. Like Mourinho said, if this was last season Costa with confidence he has a hatrick last night. But its fine, the runs he was making with Mata Cesc Iniesta passing for him in national team he will be top scorer in Euros easily. Maybe 2nd behind Rooney

I second that this was by far costa's best game this season, at least that I've seen. However he still missed three sitters and had 0 goals. He hasn't set a high bar for himself - but if he (and chelsea) continue to play like yesterday then I would expect him to start scoring at a decent rate, because he did showcase some of the ability he had at the start of last season.

Also like i said, add Spanish playmakers making the passes with that movement he shows and he should score plenty

Ugh BVB is not exactly doing amazing the last europe league games I hope they won't draw Napoli next round because there is no way they get first in their group (yeah well they fucked up bad not winning that group :p) BVB vs Liverpool would be fun because of Klopp but i'd prefer easier opponents haha

They're showing Tuchel that they aren't compatible with his system. Just play a few 17 yr olds instead.

The Europa League embarrassment isn't really an indictment of the team itself, but an indictment of our depth. We have none whatsoever. We've lost or drawn so many games because Tuchel doesn't take the EL seriously enough and so fields a lot of the depth, but our depth is crap. We have absolutely no ability to score when we rotate like this and it shows.

Yeah i can relate, i'm not mad just as you becuse the game is meaningless and we played without lots of important players but i'm still disappointed. 10 points and 2nd place in a group like this should have neber happened. They definetly need to step it up for the next round, anything lower than ro8 would disappoint me tbh. Januzaj looks like a huge misunderstanding so far, i think BVB simply hoped to score a DeBruyne 2.0. Didnt quite work out so far. Why they kept Hofman/Leitner is beyond me, i guess it would be difficult to sign better players who know they probably won't play a single game. I can see the reason behind signing Park but he has not been that good yet sadly. I'm with you on the getting new players, 1 more offensive and 1 who can play on 6 or offensive and the team is awesome. Basically replace Hofman/Leitner with better quality although i can see Hofman getting another chance. If he was consistent on his top level he would be pretty good.
Also: somehow Micky forgot how to score again god damn it. His assist are still amazing but he won't score himself T_T

BvB as usual. home loss 0-1 vs PAOK. 72% ball possesion. 18-1 shots.

God I hope those players feel ashamed of themselves. Such an awful display. 2nd and dropping 8 points in this group?

It's not everything but imagine we lose in the first elimination round and potential transfer targets just remember that we might've won a CL-spot during the season but showed absolutely no class in Europe.
To be fair Tuchel rarely rotates but when he does (this year mostly in EL) he changes the whole team which makes it hard for the team to function but compare that to Bayern. No matter who's thrown into a game that guy (apart from Götze) owns. Yes the situation is extremely different when you go into a functioning team that could win 30 league matches playing 9v11 but the spirit and consistency is there and I can't see anything of that with Ramos, Hofmann, Park or Januzaj.
Regarding Hofmann I lost hope. When he went to Mainz I was sad because he created a few goals and penalties the games before. At that point I thought he had too much an impact even when coming on as a sub for 5 minutes but now he does nothing.

lol 18-1 in shots and 0-1? that's one of those hilarious crazy anomaly games
In other news, Rosenborg continues to be rookies in the EL. two games we were leading towards the end, both we conceded a penalty and tied in the last 5-10 minutes. Two other games, we ourselves get a shot from the spot, but fail to convert. It's supposed to be a learning season and all, and for mostly all of these players this season was the first real European experience they had, but wow, they're so anti-clinical it boggles the mind.

Success in the league is what really counts this season so i am willing so sacrifize success to some degree in europe league to get into CL next year. Obviously surviving the next round is expected and quite possible (hell, even if they draw someone from CL or teams like Napoli, they still can win if they play with their A game). At least we don't have that many injured players this season, maybe the rotations where helping in that. Dunno about Hofman, for some reason i like him even though his play is not that amazing haha. That's why i am giving him more chances probably :p

Well I remember bayern vs frankfurt few years ago, something like 37-3 shots but it ended 0-0.
BvB did hit the woodwork 6 times (together with Ajax), EL record in groupstage.

Ajax was terrible. Holy shit.
|
Holy fuck, why is Ninkovic still on the field. Trying to break another players leg should be a red card 2:1 Augsburg! Can they do it?!?! Would be so amazing if they would advance
|
wohooo Augsburg
1-3, just need to hold on for 3 mins added
edit: Teo goal and celebration
steals referees freekick spray =)

Fuck yeah Augsburg! Impressive!
