You need to look at the replay again, the angle of the ball is quite high/the speed low and a Bilbao player is closing toward the ball. I'm not sure he has to get it, but this definitely isn't as clear cut as you make it.

No it was immature. He tries to be flashy when there's absolutely zero need for it. He could just collect the ball and distribute it towards a Barça defender. They know how to play from the back and there wouldn't be certain loss of possession. Even if it doesn't end up a goal, he still did something flashy just to end up losing possession. Terrible without the goal, inexcusable with.

Crazy how they won this game i had Everton being bottom half due to how shit they looked in pre season. Confirmed when they played poor vs Watford at home. To then follow it up with the dismantling of Southampton :s
