I know that Pand loves him. He's really good, but not 50M good. Especially given that André Gomes went to Barcelona for 35M and Renato to Bayern also for 35M.

Bundesliga is 2nd in the 5 year ranking ![]() And in before the usual Pande "but it is only Bayern" nonsense: nope, it aint. Dortmund is ranked higher than any English club. Oh yes, and our 4th best club is again higher than the 4th best English club. Also you really can't exclude Bayern from viewing the Bundesliga. They are a non sheikh/russian/chinese club, without debt, and really just a grown part of the football instead of artificially boosted like PSG in France... Also as you said Chelsea shouldn't be there, but we are and we finished 10th in our league last season! Sevilla only get points due to winning Europa league every year and failing in Champions League! Dortmund last year was also points only because of Europa League remember in which they went out to the Liverpool greats who finished 8th! However the points is for European competition seeding which it is find to be used for i have no problem, but it aint no power rank thats for sure ![]() Yeah Linedolf been rumored for a while, guy is awesome would like him to come but the rumors were like just after Euro's and nothing been said since. Khoulabiy guy from Napoli and Lindelof would be excellent additions to our defense if we could get them.

Don't worry. :D Well if you look at the amount of points that can be gained in a run 18-24 ish for the teams below us then well we aint gonna be to far away from top 10 after this season, WITHOUT any european footy ![]() Oh wait no the previous season is wiped off, yeah we will drop alot. But yeah that says alot about the ranking more than anything that we are that high with a failure last season and still getting to knockout stages of champions league and doing ok vs PSG etc.

Dortmund is top10 easy. Sevilla is close but probably deserves the 10th spot. Chelsea and Benfica most likely not top10 material. Other contenders for top10 right now IMO would be ManCity, ManUtd and Arsenal. Liverpool looked great against Barça too, but let's wait and see. PL is getting hype with all the big names.

PSG arguably still top 10 team in Europe especially ahead of the likes of Dortmund/Sevilla/Chelsea/Benfica but they are on par if not slightly behind the likes of Arsenal and Man City that is for sure. Man Utd we can't tell this year they aren't in Europe it isn't fair. But if you ask me who would do better out of Spurs and Benfica this season if they played the same teams or eachother or i would back Spurs thats with me even thinking they are going to do very poorly this season. Same goes with Sevilla.

![]() Biased apart, the Uefa ranking is as merit based as it gets. It just doesn't reflect the Internal competitions. It's not everybody's fault that the english teams don't care about the Europa League. Sevilla abuses that and got into the top 10 from the Europa League alone. And just analyzing Benfica (it's closer to home), in the last 5 years we got 2 Europa League Finals and 2 CL Quarter final losses (vs Bayern and Chelsea). Last year alone we were the only team to beat Atletico de Madrid at home on the CL, and we put up a fight vs the Super favourite Bayern with some of our better players injured or suspended. If that's not top 10 material I don't know what is. How is Manchester City top 10 material? They never proved anything in Europe... Theoretical advantage is not a measure... Results are

A ranking with league wins on basis would be a better way for a 5 year power ranking. However i do concede that the ranking for European competition is fine, but i don't agree with that ranking is close to what a best teams in europe would be.

As it see it, there's not really a better way to rank the team in europe compared to what's being done currently. And, to be fair, is the Uefa ranking (For uefa competitions), not the best club in Europe ranking, because that is completly subjective. Maybe what could be done is adjust the Weight between Europa League and CL wins.

Guess straight up basis of a ranking system cannot be done unless you just use the Champions league top 16 every year? Which in all honesty is probably fair to a certain extent? Example, PSG Real Madrid etc could be one group where another could be Leicester Sevilla etcetc where sometimes balance isn't at its best ![]() Which still leaves you with Benfica in the top 8 ![]() I'm fine with that compromise ![]()

Top 4 teams in the big leagues; England Germany Spain qualify for champions league or at least the final qualifying round, yet the team who did not finish 4th in said league like Sevilla etc are ranked as highly because they win that crappy cup is beyond me. Sevilla proved how poor they are with finishing 3rd in the champions league to get sent to that competition again last season. Then walked it, proving what? There is massive gulf of class between Champions League and Europa! Who would have thought? /rant On August 12 2016 21:43 Faruko wrote: Arsenal wants Griezzman or Lewandowski Congratulations Wilfred Bony for joining Arsenal Arsenal want two players they will never ever get, not because said players might not want to play for Arsenal, but because Wenger will not give the green light for their high wages / transfer fee's. I'm not sure even if Wenger was willing to pay a huge sum Bayern would go for it. And that's ignoring the players' wishes. Bayern and Atletico have high CL finishes every year, Arsenal is just a step down in everything except maybe the pay grade.

I mean, thats mostly because Arsenal has many "good" but not "top CL good" players (alongside a manager that doesnt want to change) If arsenal had better players and a manager willng to make sacrifices they will surely have top CL finishes
