I doubt it too, but not having Vardy against Swansea could really mount a lot of pressure on Leicester. It wouldn't be the first time an underdog crumbles under pressure All this from a silly Vardy dive.

that'd be the tragedy of the decade

I'm biased of course, but on paper Ulloa's goal doesn't change the title race that much. The gap was 7 points so from Tottenham's perspective, Leicester needed to draw 2 and lose 1 (Spurs win the title on goal difference if they finish level). Now they need a loss and a draw in the last 4 matches. It's much more significant from a psychological point of view, with Leicester salvaging a point with 10 men.

edit: It would be fantastic if Vardy's dive becomes the new Gerrard slip, though.

Great to see Pulisic score for BVB and Leicster's drama is going to be intense for the last couple weeks. I really, really hope they don't fuck this up.
A sound mind in a sound body, is a short, but full description of a happy state in this World: he that has these two, has little more to wish for; and he that wants either of them, will be little the better for anything else.

referee did fuck up a bunch of things there

all penalty calls cept the vardy one he got wrong, and I think that was a harsh second yellow (especially as I thought the first yellow was kinda harsh as well). But West Ham deserved at least one point, can't complain too much.

Leicester has to play away at ManU and Chelsea. Tottenham has to play at Chelsea too. Chelsea can decide who should win this season xD

I agree that the first yellow was arguably harsh (although Vardy may have been warned after his first couple fouls) but I don't understand how anyone can have a problem with the second one. He simulated a foul in an attempt to con the ref into giving a penalty, which may have also been a sending off for the defender. Not punishing that sort of thing with a card just invites players to do it again.

Not too unlikely Tottenham might lose some points against Stoke (away) or Southhampton as well

I agree with that 2nd yellow but I'd prefer to have a clear line with all refs throughout all games. The way it currently is where sometimes youll get punished and sometimes you wont sucks even more then diving and getting away with it

cuz I think it's one of those 'too close to really call it a dive' situations. From how I saw it, Vardy was ahead, defender is so close that it's a bit disruptive, Vardy capitalizes on the contact and tries to get a penalty. It's like, football isn't a sport where contact is a binary 'either there was contact thus there's a foul' or 'there was no contact so it's a dive', I think this is a situation where the contact not initiated by Vardy wasn't enough for a penalty but it also wasn't sufficiently invented for it to be a dive.

I think the penalty Leicester actually did get was more of a dive, and I kinda feel that way about West Ham's penalty as well - he certainly didn't have to fall, just notices that he's not gonna be able to get to the ball so he might as well just fall and hope for a call. I don't actually think it's horribly wrong, but for me, it's a very close call and overall, the red card was wrong.. Basically, referee gave two penalties that I felt weren't penalties, didn't give one that I thought was one, and sent off a player I thought deserved at most one yellow.

I respect your opinion but having watched the replay about 10 times, I see Vardy throwing his legs into the defender, failing to create meaningful contact, and falling over anyway.

Fair enough, like I said I don't think it's a horrible mistake, probably the one I disagree the least with out of the 5-ish big decisions I think he got wrong.

arsenal have sunderland, norwich, villa and west bromwich to go, (in addition to mancity), so they really shouldn't drop below united, but it's possible! That would be one grand failure. ;p

Haha but don't worry Wenger has already said the Summer transfer window is to be limited.

Bayern still keeps the record for highest 2nd place with 73pts (Dortmund won that season 2011/2012 with 81pts). If Dortmund wins all 4 left games, they will have 83pts this season.

It clearly shows that something is wrong in Bundesliga. Such case is unnormal for me and this is neither Bayern nor Dortmund mistake/problem. La Liga is a different story since Athletico Madrid is relevant for few years.

Its fun to watch how teams are trying to find maximun performance but this looks like both (fcb and bvb) are very nearly to maximum and are more focusing on avoiding own mistakes, this is a very boring progress (like SC2).

In other news, Barcelona is currently losing to Valencia at Camp Nou
Imagine a place where the Alps meet the Mediterranean, where you can pick autumn fruits in the morning, bathe in the Adriatic in the afternoon, and go night skiing in the evening…It’s Slovenia!
