Obviously gutted we're never ever learning from our mistakes, and are somehow losing to this Hammers side. First ten minutes we're all over them and they're picking up cards. Tomkins a little later avoids a sure yellow (more on that later). Fuck's sake, now he's allowed to put in hard tackles later. West Ham grow into the game, because we can never score when dominating. Then we take charge again and create chance after chance, but as usual never finishing them off. Monreal is going through to where he can easily play in Giroud and others, but he's taken out by Tomkins. Yellow, which should have been a red or just Tomkins never attempting the tackle, ECAUSE HE SHOULD BE ON A YELLOW. Nah, I'm not bitter at all. Tomkins again later block a ball going into the net from Özil, to further rub it in. Then the goal. Hilariously soft free-kick given to West Ham, after I think Kouyate jumped in with studs up. Good times, and of course Kouyate goes on to score the resulting free-kick off a header. Poor marking and needlessly high line on a free-kick and Cech has a lot to do. Very frustrating game, but that's football. People thinking we're one or two players off being a real title competitor are wrong. We're one brilliant manager away from being title competitors. With Klopp, we're a big threat. With Arsene, we lose points in games like these. Hope I'm wrong, though, but that's my opinion. | ||
