I don't think the Rafael rumors were well founded. Was just a tabloid article if I remember. He should be RB.
I think Di Maria for 50 million £ is pretty damn expensive. Of course he's a great player but I think he's being overvalued right now because he performed extremely well in the CL finals and the Copa del Rey. Last season was the first season he was truly consistently good, and sporadically great. The seasons prior I remember finding him disappointing on numerous occasions. I would definitely pay around 35 million for him but 50 seems excessive. Still, United is pretty desperate right now. I could see them signing a few more players as well. Benatia I think would be a smart addition for United. Central midfield is a dire need but I can't think of any player that's available right now of a high caliber. Maybe next year they can get Vidal.
Does anyone else find the Balotelli transfer to Liverpool very odd? Milan is selling for 16 million £ which is dirt cheap for a young player who has already accomplished a fair bit. Furthermore, Balotelli is taking a 50% paycut to join Liverpool. I just don't understand what's in it for Mario and to some degree Milan. Looking at the headlines I don't see any major transgressions by Balotelli in Milan so the only reason I can see Milan wanting to sell is because they have no money right now. For Balotelli though, Liverpool while in a good state right now aren't exactly expected to win the league this year. To take a paycut to join them just doesn't seem like a Balotelli thing to do.
Hoping the Balotelli move works out for both parties. Mario might be crazy but he's not malicious, and I've liked Liverpool's football the past 2 years so hoping all goes well.

Both Carvalho and Khedira are available.
LVG really should go after Carvalho.
He is good, but not 37million £ good and Sporting want his release clause for him or very close to it.

According to German/Italian media Benatia has already a done deal with Bayern for 30 Million €.
20M for Balotelli is 20 too much in my opinion. He was a good player on a mediocre team in a very mediocre league but in PL he is just one of many and it is jsut a matter of time until he will get in trouble again and Liverpool of all places is not the team nor city which will accept that. The thing is it wouldnt be so bad but the old "come on as if you didnt do something stupid when you were young" doesnt cut it anymore. He is 24 and still acts like a 16 year old clown on and off the field.
Also again cant you find a talented, young English striker for that money and roster spot who could have a future in the national team?

Hmmm, can't say I agree. He was good at City, but not consistent enough perhaps. Milan is a quagmire at the moment, hard to blame Balotelli for that mess. Shane Long cost 12 million £. Are you going to argue he is as good as Balotelli?
It's true that age will not forever remain a factor, at some point potential must become reality, and probably, that point is getting pretty close for Mario, but I think he has another shot at Liverpool. He's shown his talents at the highest level, but he needs to really work hard to produce consistently.

I am pretty sure Shane Long will not break into a womens prison or do this:
Its about trust and consistency or better sayed: Would you play Balotelli in a CL final and "hope" that he doesnt do something stupid or will you field Shane Long and be sure he will do his best?

Because it was a friendly hit, no harm intended unlike CR.
On the other hand, I think Atlético might even be worse than old Mou's Chelsea and Moudrid in the lame department. Of course their players don't like to step on opponents after fouling them, like RM's Alonso, Arbeloa, Ramos and Pepe... So eh.
Almost 24h later, Marca finally reported Cristiano's bullshit.

His biggest problem isn't even outrageous behavior, it is the fact that quite often he just visibly doesn't give a fuck about the game or the team he is playing in. If things don't go his way, he will sulk. I hope he gets over it, beccause he relly could be one of the greatest number 9s, but there is a reason both mourinho and mancini considered him unmanageable.

The same reason that everybody is all crazy about Athletico despite them playing very bland counter football: they are the new kid on the block and it is not hip to hate on them, unlike on Real.

Do you really think that hit deserves flack? I mean I'm no gym guy but that looked super friendly to me, can't possibly harm you unless you are extra weak.

It's even worse. It was disrespectful tap on the back of the head. Like he is talking to his 5 year old son and not the 4th official. Well, at least the referee sent him off early and prevented him from making even bigger troubles (like trying to fight the opponent's players or something.)

It's a very common gesture here in Catalonia, Guardiola does a similar thing to most coaches when they salute before the game. At least to those he respects of course. Him and Pellegrini will probably never speak to Mou again lol.
But being Simeone, I can see what you say. Still not sure but whatever. He was sent off before that "hit" happened btw.
