Just doesn't always go in. Oh no I agree it's a good look. Bosh is a capable shooter, in his spot, and pretty damn open. I don't HATE the decision, I just really wanted to see Lebron finish it at the rim after a shit game, but at the same time being so out of rhythm perhaps makes the pass out even better(I mean, he missed a pretty standard for him layup a few possessions earlier).

He took certain thoughts I was having unconsciously about them and wrote them in an entertaining manner. Him establishing that he is a 40-year-long Pacer fan is the reason I even read it though.

Part of me thinks that Lebron would have likely been able to score at the basket over Hibbert and PG since he had gotten so far past PG since he was pretty much right at the basket and has been so good at converting those kinds of drives for so long. However, it's hard to argue an open corner 3 is not preferable to a challenged drive against two of the best defenders in the league when down 2 and on the road.

He just likes to bitch about them and then say, "hey I'm from Indiana, I'm a fan!" He's a pretty terrible writer. He just loves to complain. He's complaining about PG, the guy is averaging 22ppg, 7.6 rpg, 3.9apg, 2spg, 44% shooting, 40% from three. All while playing fantastic defense, always guarding the best perimeter offensive player on the other team. Remember how people we praising Jeff Teague? When the Pacers switch PG on to him Teague didn't do a thing. Bradely Beal did nothing against PG. LeBron is the only one doing anything against him and thats freaking LeBron. The only guys having better post seasons than PG and Durant, Westbrook and LeBron. And none of them have the defensive responsibility that PG does. He talks about Vogel like he is in the locker room regularly. Yet I don't know if he's been in it once this season. No one who covers the team regularly said they don't listen to Vogel. The players say otherwise as well. Firing Vogel would be a terrible decision. One of the youngest coaches in the league, has taken the team to the playoffs every year, developed PG, Hibbert and Lance from fringe players to all stars. And now back to back ECF's. You don't fire that guy. And he complains about the team living a lie, never gonna beat Miami, yet at the start of the article he mentions his love for Reggie and those Pacers. Those Pacers that lived a fucking lie because they could never beat Jordan? These Pacers have done just as well, if not better than those teams with a much less experienced roster. Whitlock is so off base here. Mark Jackson would never work in Indiana. His little success in GS was with a completely different roster than what Indiana has.

It's arguably a sound strategic choice to favor an open corner 3 over a defended 2 pt drive when considering Lebron's foul situation and them being on the road. What really amazed me is, imagine that your are Lebron, and its 40-something mins into the game and you have played like 12 mins, how do you not just do those drives like on that last possession every time down the court?

No idea. Maybe an insistence and devotion to "making the right play"? Trying to show everyone that Lance's antics weren't going to change how he plays the game? The ticky tack fouls all game making him gun shy and wanting to make sure he didn't miss what little was left of the game when they were so close? All random guesses, but possible?

All are possible explanations, but IMO that is just the consistently correct Lebron criticism: Why the fuck doesn't he just go ham and drive more? I understand that its super tiring, and since he plays 40 mins a game, I understand you can't do it all the time. But that hypothesis was just proven to be untrue, because he plays the same even with tons of rest. Its like if Ronaldo subbed in for Madrid at the 80th minute and didn't spend all of his time cutting and trying to take people 1v1.

Also, what is with these pocket non-scoring forward strats? Mike Miller, Rashard Lewis, now Matt Bonner.

Like does silver hand out a script before the game to refs detailing how he wants the result skewed? It all sounds a bit silly. Corrupt refs? Definitely, but as far as a grand conspiracy by the Nba to rig it's games? Sounds a bit silly to me.

If anyone rigging the games was relying on Paul George to drop 21 in a quarter, they're doing it wrong.
