Well that went about as well as could be expected. Kept the game as interesting as possible, led for 3 quarters by double digits and then blew it at the end to keep the tank going.

Maybe Durant was just trolling with his 6 TO first 3 quarters, and decided to turn it on in the 4th with 19 pts to crush any hopes Lakers had? I wouldn't put it past him.

In one of those TNT roundtables, Reggie Miller said they used to toy with bad teams and keep the game close until the 4th quarter to preserve energy or something.

What happened to us tonight used to happen pretty frequently during our Championship years in 09 and 10, only we're on the other side of it.

It was actually frustrating to watch at times, team would be lethargic for a few quarters before they got serious in the 4th.

BTW just for the record.

Been a weird season for us.

Aren't there famous stories of the 80s Celtics being so much better than some teams (especially at home) that Bird got bored a lot and made up ridiculous challenges for himself, like shooting only left handed?

As for Perkins, they have to move him, unless the insist on keeping him to stop Howard.

What are people feeling about Love and Adelman in Minnesota? Does anyone else feel like they need to get rid of Adelman so they can at least see whether Love is elite when in the right environment?

IDK, Adelman has proven he might be one of the handful of coaches in the league that isn't a run of the mill guy based on his previous success, but Love seems to be showing that's he going to leave except for explicitly asking to be traded. Based on that, I'm never a fan of the "fire the coach in the hopes that your star re-signs" move, so I think they should try to ship out love, although I don't really like either option.

I don't see why they can't just let it ride if that's the question they are (and should be) looking to answer. Adelman's clearly a good coach, so why bother firing him?

Im just trying to look at the situation from a kind of scientific POV.

Something doesn't compute with both Adelman and Love being good, plus Rubio and Pekovich being good role players, and the team being what it is and has been.
