The stupidest NBA rule, without a doubt, is the salary matching trade rule.

I should be able to trade Lebron for a 2nd round draft pick if both sides agree.

Without it the league would be even more lobsided than it is now.

Well the bench played very well, Jackson just chose not to play them. Was like the first game in ages where Barnes actually looked like an NBA player.

He is still on pace for the Lakers to be able to use the stretch provision on him, which would go retroactive to last season. More $$ saved. I think he might just come back as a sort of a goodbye in the last few games though I hope (still under 10 total).

If that happens, and we are able to trade Gasol for something even decent, I will like the direction so far.

We (Lakers) just have to catch up to those East teams. They are so bad it is hard to catch up to them in the L column though. Luckily for us, we have our secret weapon on the job: D'Antoni.
