Pretty sure you can if the team you're trading to can absorb his contract and stay under the cap. So say Philly has $20mill in cap space right now. They could trade their first round pick for LeBron. I think salaries only have to match if you're over (going to be over) the cap--to stop teams loading up with the best players. | ||
