ryan anderson signing was good, tho
Trading Noel wasn't bad but sending your 2014 pick out also was awful. I guess the Pelos thought this year would turn out much better than it has.
I think the team isn't constructed great as is now but has assets. If they can somehow flip Gordon (maybe packaged with Anderson) for a quality five and decent three and D type SG I think they'd have a bit better balance.
The team has too many ball stoppers right now. With Jrue, EG and Reke rotating in the backcourt they aren't getting the ball to AD enough. I think Anderson is the superfluous but valuable trade piece to package with Gordon to balance the roster and free up salary.
I'd be going after Asik still but it seems the Pelos really don't want to give up Anderson for him. Meh.
The team plays significantly better with Anderson on the court, so I disagree with most of this, especially trading for Asik. No team is gonna take the Eric Gordon contract off of us. It's become an albatross.
Where's his long term fit though? AD needs to play PF. Anderson has more value than as a backup so I'd be selling high and pairing AD with a strong 5. With Asik they'd have the best defensive front court in the NBA.
Gordon will be tough but packaged with Anderson it could be done.

Why exactly does AD need to play PF? He's logged most of his minutes this season as Center in a smaller lineup and, well, it's done him wonders.
Unless you think he can't defend the plethora of offensively talented centers in the league in the future. Davis is as locked at PF as KG or Duncan, ie not very much.
Absolutely no team is gonna shoulder Gordon's contract just to acquire Anderson's decent contract. The only thing Houston would be looking for is Anderson for Asik, and maybe some token late draft picks, which is a terrible idea and I'm glad the team hasn't bitten on it despite how much it's thrown around. Asik isn't the cure for this team's defensive woes (the scheme and a bunch of young players is the problem).

his best shot is a wildcard and he has to beat out Nowitzki, Parker, Cousins and some others (possibly lillard or dragic depending on how the guard situation ends up).
Don't mind me I'm just being pessimistic as fuck as this season has beaten the hope out of my soul with the constant injuries.

prob the worst call of the year thus far
WTF ? where's the continuation and where's the foul ? and now compare this to Melo's 3 at the end of their first meeting where he got foul but no basket ? yea NBA where Las Vegas happens

There's no good replay angle, and so much as touching someone's shooting arm is a whistle every time.
So what do you do with Lowry if you're the raps? Guy is having a career year:.16 pts and 7.5 assists per game at very good efficiency.
Making $6.5 mill and is a UFA after this season. Do you keep him as a core piece and likely pay high for his services ($10 mill+ at a minimum) or deal him for assets now while you have a chance to maximise his value?
Tricky choice coming for raps. You'd love to keep him but if a team offers him some obscene like $14mill you either offer something as good or see the asset leave for nothing.
