Looking forward to tomorrow's matchday a bit more, there's more on the line in a lot of the games there. Plus the rescheduled Juve - Gala should be a good watch for sure
Yea, without the Gala game, today's matches were a bore. Nothing interesting at all going on. The only significant uncertainty was Donetsk/Leverkusen, but Leverkusen and Man U were heavy favorites, plus both games were boring as all hell, so no surprises there.
Tomorrow's gonna be stacked with some interesting matches. 2nd place in Chelsea's group is up for grabs, Arsenal group is a complete clusterfuck, Milan/Ajax, Gala/Juve. Gonna be great.

Pretty annoying, on our terrestrial we had the Man United - Shakthar game, but no Arsenal tomorrow I realise these are planned in advance, and United are the most popular team but Arsenal's group is a hell of a lot more interesting to the neutral (well by neutral I mean, me).

We (Napoli) should win 3-0... and our defense sucks: Maggio is way too old, Armero and Britos are a joke, Fernandez for some reason plays well only for Argentina, Zuniga is injured, Albiol is the only good defensor we have but he can't do miracles. And we still have money unspent from Cavani's transfer :\

Did Bayern just decide to stop keeping the ball? I saw it. Bayern played brilliantly for 15 minutes and then lost all motivation for the rest of the game. Also a laughable referee. ManCitiy didnt play very well
The whole group was weird. Bayern roles over everything in 5 of 6 games and is one goal away from being 2nd, Pilsen ends with 5 losses and makes the Euro League.

Lol, there are 4 teams in the groups. Mancity also bossed 5 out of 6 games and were 1 goal away from being first, xD.

Oh wow awesome a Napoli fan :D Still even with your weak defense the atmosphere and intimidation you make in your stadium makes up for that huh. You did lose Cavani the beast, but you will say overall your team is better than the one that beat Chelsea 3-1? I mean if Higuain is on it, Hamsik turns up alongside speedy Callejon anything can happen.

Group E Group E is done and dusted with only one match of note which involves the teams playing eachother. Chelsea have finished top and Basel and Schalke are battling it out to see who takes 2nd and 3rd place. Basel need 1 point to better Schalke and finish 2nd. Schalke need to beat Basel at home to take 2nd place and send Basel to the Europa League.
Group F The best group of the whole champions league and boy is it on a knife edge! Arsenal - Napoli - Dortmund can all qualify from this group and all 3 can find themselves playing Europa league football come February. Arsenal are away at Napoli needing just a draw to finalize their qualification as group winners. Napoli need to beat Arsenal by 3 goals or more to go through due to the head to head rule which has Napoli has worst to Arsenal. If that were to happen then Dortmund would finish top and Napoli 2nd. Arsenal would be in the Europa League on 12points! Dortmund just need to win vs Marseille and they are through. Anything other than a win and they are awaiting other results.
Group G Group G see's Atletico Madrid going through as winners with Zenit and Porto battling it out for the 2nd and 3rd spot. Zenit are in pole position in this though as they are away to Austria Wein whilst they have a 1 point lead over Porto. A win and their is nothing Porto can do. Porto are away to Atletico Madrid the group winners needing nothing but a win and hoping Zenit don't win vs Austria Wein which doesn't seem likely to happen
Group H Group H is a battle again for 2nd and 3rd places between Ajax and Milan. Celtic could through the group into chaos if they were to some how win in the Nou Camp which would open the door for Milan to top the group if they beat Ajax. Ajax and AC Milan is a straight fight for 2nd and 3rd place. Ajax need to win due to Milan being 1 point up on them. A win and Ajax finish 2nd and no matter what Barcelona finish top. Milan need to avoid defeat to claim 2nd spot, where a win would see them potentially take top spot if Celtic do the impossible and win at the Nou Camp.

Schalke needs to win since Basel is up by 1 point.

Oh yeah i was thinking of it being level points. As Schalke will have better Head to Head because of winning 1-0 in Switzerland.

Ajax also must win since Milan is up 1 point.

I discovered this TL forum section in the last few days :D
BTW, yes I do believe this Napoli is stronger than the one who beat Chelsea 3-1 (we played that CL with Aronica - a player we bought from Reggina and then sold to Palermo last year, and Palermo got relegated to Serie B...), and yes Napoli fans can give a huge help to the team in home games. BUT. Hamsik lately is way too inconsistent, he plays well one match and then you don't see him for like five matches, the same goes for Insigne, who also has become too selfish. I still think we can win if we don't play the shitty way we played against Parma and Udinese (we always lose important points in stupid ways, I still can't believe we drew with Sassuolo...), but I don't think we can give a 3-0 to Arsenal. The only hope for us is that Marseille has some pride and somehow wins against BVB.

Already had a look at all those awesome threads
BTW, I think we started playing bad in the game vs Sassuolo, since that moment it was an awesome run. Then something got broken (Zuniga and Maggio, some might say, and we started playing with Armero and Mesto, not having decent replaces)... we still won some matches but playing really bad, I think even vs Marseille. We lost initial enthusiasm, and I don't know, somehow Hamsik became inconsistent, Callejon and Behrami had a bad moment... still, I'm impressed by the growth of Mertens and Higuain helps the team way more than how did Cavani (who was - is - a great striker, maybe one of the best in the world atm, but too selfish to help the team during bad moments). I personally still have faith we can qualify for the next CL and have a good run in EL/CL and Coppa Italia (I don't know how you call it abroad :D), but I think we're way too behind to compete for Scudetto since we lost points in stupid ways and we lost to both Juve and Roma. As a southern italian, I hope Roma can win Serie A anyway, but Juventus is still too strong and both Roma and Napoli changed a lot (players and coach) this year.

Yeah i am and i think many other people are very impressed with what Rudi Garcia has done with Roma, very impressed!
I hope Napoli can try and give Juventus a run for their money as both Milan clubs just seem so lackluster these days, getting beaten by everyone and looking really fragile. Guess i'll have to keep an eye on Serie A if it is going to be as interesting as it looks.

Hey, that's not fair. Inter are right up there with everyone else, and they only have one loss (which was against Roma)! Milan are just pulling an Arsenal. Once they get Keisuke Honda, they will go on a great run and somehow finish 4th or something.

Milan last year literally stole 3rd place to Fiorentina, they are playing really bad since the last couple of years.. Balotelli did a miracle bringin them to CL (he arrived in January and saved what it was gonna be a disastrous year), but this year you can see all the limits of this team. In CL they are very strong anyway, it always was a team who played better in Europe than in Italy, but in Serie A the position they have is what they really deserve. Needless to say, the political/law problems of their owner (Berlusconi...) somehow affect all of this. Inter too changed coach this year and right now they're having management changes with their new Indonesian owners, I think they will get stronger in the long run. Roma always had a great potential in the last few years with their new American owners, but they always threw it away with both not-so-great coaches and their fans being too impatient, this finally seems to be their good year.
