We don't see it in every other game because football is a team sport and if everyone would act egoistic like Robinho teams would lose possessions nonstop.
Once every 180? In the Dutch league you see some idiot try this every single weekend lol. Only difference is that those players fail to do it against FC Jekentdenaamtochniet while Robinho failed against Barcelona, still a failure though. XD
Honestly in the Amateur leagues it's even worse, every single game there is somebody who tries this move. It's easy as hell to execute and a sure way of losing possession XD

yet, it's like, I've pretty much never seen him pull off any "moves". rather, what messi does is just having a sequence of perfect touches with extreme pace and balance. like, whereas ronaldinho would pull off single moves where I was just thinking wow I could try that 1000 times and never get it right, with messi it's like, every single individual touch he makes is one I could conceive myself pulling off. yet messi is obviously greatest.
robinho's move here is very flashy. but he lost the ball, and he lost it because of what always happens when you try to do this move. Even though it's a great way of passing 1 player (and which is basically the reason why the only times it's ever pulled off successfully is when it's used to actually score a goal), it inevitably leads to loss of pace and balance. even though you trick one player, it's such a slow move, even when pulled off super quickly and near perfection here, that the supporting defensive player (and defenders almost always have support!) can easily just turn around, push around robinho and take the ball.
and that's the reason why you basically never see this move. it's not that it's so hard to pull off. it's that it doesn't work. like, the ronaldinho move where he manages to change ball direction while it's on his foot, that's a move so hard to pull off that you rarely see players do it, and only great ones. but that one is actually great for passing someone. what robinho did here is fairly easy to execute a basic version of, but it's very easy to defend against, and thus you don't see it often.
and yes, of course robinho showed great skill in doing it so quickly.. of course he's a player of great technical ability. but it's just not practical to use in actual games.
