Last year they were starting to go down with Athletico and Real Sociedad surpassing them in La Liga and Malaga in champions.
The position as third strong team of Spain was stolen by Athletico de Madrid, that won this week his first Champion League match without problems. They have won Spanish Cup and SuperCup this year to Real Madrid, and two Europe League recently (and they were 2nd in La liga above Real Madrid last year until the week 27/38). Furthermore, Simeone is awesome xD
He definitely is, I really enjoy the football Athletico play under him and I like how they aren't afraid to get dirty when needed. Definitely my favorite Spanish team at the moment

i hate that rule that the game goes on with the injured player off the field. hurt a player then get a powerplay..

Depends though, the reason it is now down to the ref to stop the game is due to the times where players are faking injuries. Happens all the time which is very frustrating if your the team on the attack and a player is rolling on the floor in "pain" for the team to kick the ball out and then he gets back up and running around within 1minute ;_;
So it's just one of those things, when it happens and it's "for real" and the player is injured it's just bad luck i guess "/

its not bad luck if the injury was intentional...
and dont tell me that no player doesnt want to injure another player, thats wishful thinking

Is there any other way to deal with it though? Basic idea is that you are supposed to substitute players when they are injured. If you can't be bothered to do that, then you aren't allowed to get the game to stop for 10 minutes while your guy recouperates.

In La Liga there is no such rule. I know because a similar thing happened with 2 barça players (Piqué and Masche I think), but the other team did not score (and the ref didn't know the footie rules lol).

The biggest competition in club football is back :D HYPE the big games.
Napoli going to go 2 wins from 2 with a win in the Emirates!!
|
If Austria gets at least 1 point in St.Petersburg I would be really happy but it is very unlikely :/ Also, Arsenal is not that weak, I think it will end a draw.

I hope Schalke not gonna screw this one up. Will be a hard game, but they can definilty do it.
Dortmund on the other hand, has to win this game, otherwise the advancing will be really hard.
Porto vs Madrid will be a really nice game.
But Arsenal vs Napoli definitly the top game of this day, excited to see the lineup of Arsenal. German kids Gnabry and Thomas Eisfeld fighting!!!!

So nervous for Porto - Atletico, we are not playing good, not by a long shot and after what i saw from Atletico vs Real i really fear the worst for this game :S
|
Basel - Schalke 1-1 Steaua - Chelsea 1-3 Dortmund - Marseille 3-0 Arsenal - Napoli 2-1 Zenit - Austria 2-0 Porto - Atletico 0-1 Ajax - Milan 1-2 Celtic - Barcelona 0-2
