Why did Guardiola think he had to change all that? Last year was exceptional. "Exceptional". I think people overrate how good Bayern was last year. They were above the rest, but not by a huge margin. And they had the perfect psychological conditions to win, they were veryyyyy hungry for titles. Never underestimate that...
Yeah you are probably right that it was a very special year. But I still say Bayern were perfectly balanced. Not the top by a huge margin indeed. But in the top.
Last year everyone would have believed in Bayern to advance after 1-0 first leg. This year only Bayern fans really believed that Bayern could advance today. (Of course no one could have predicted 3-0 first half...)

Weeeeelll that's a bummer. Was looking forward to an exciting and close match. Oh well.
And yeah, this year Bayern were huuuuge favorites from the start of the season. That kind of pressure compared to last year where they were just one of the favorites makes a pretty big difference. And this match is obviously a fluke so far. Once in a 100 matches between these two would it be 3-0 for either side at half time.

yeah this bayern looks entirely one dimensional compared to last season..
I mean I don't really like judging a team so harshly based on a 45 minute meltdown, but it's just, last season they seemed like a flawless team. They could play in whatever fashion they wanted, they were deadly on the counter, but they could also build up slow. Now, they were down 0-2 and had a good chance for a counter attack - and they decided to slow it down to make sure they maintained possession.. Sure it works wonderfully domestically because they outclass their opposition, but when they meet a team with equal quality in every position they gotta be able to adapt, now it was like, once real took the lead it looked like it was over.

This reminds me of olympiakos-psg in the group state. We played the best game I remember playing ever in cl and in the 2nd half we conceded 3 headers from corners. It just happens sometimes.

You can't calculate or defend vs that. Well its hard to train defending corners and all that stuff, but they allowed Ramos so much free space, he had to score. Of course they could have defended that better Don't know if it's just high time for rm to get a CL after all these years but I'm happy they will be in the final just right after mou left and with that kind of performance. Mou would play Pepe in midfield and win or lose it would be another disgusting game. Now watch Mou deny La Decima

Hmm Ramos still on field. Weird. Guess he is going for hat trick

Conceding from corners happens, but they haven't looked dangerous at all. Previous game also, sure they had possession but Real was looking so much more dangerous. They're just taking way too long to attack, every time. That also means they need more players to mount a powerful attack, which again means they're more susceptible to counters.

He defends corners with "zonal marking" his choice, aka tactical decision?

Before that the game was even.

I don't know how previous manager defends it, but if you change the style then it's different. But yeah im sure they didn't defend corners that bad in other games this season?
Hate zonal marking, tis fucking retarded but thats my view xd

Don't analyse these 2 goals guys, lol. Ramos is a monster in the air, it just happened. Nothing anyone could do about that. The real problem is how toothless bayern is. But they don't have a messi to break apart defences with brilliance.

You just gotta love Bayern players...
They sub OUT Mandzukic and suddenly start crossing into the box... Wth?
