With all the groups being made up of the teams currently in Champions league and using the Champions league groups as the youth groups.....Ajax Barcelona AC Milan group, would be awesome to watch those Youth teams go at it!

If Ajax don't become champions then their 'world-renowned youth academy'-teams can't even play in this. Same for other teams in Holland like Feyenoord who have a great youth academy.

Only teams that participate in the regular CL can partake in the youth CL which really blows for countries that have excellent youth academies but not a lot of spots for participation. This way the leagues will get even more segregated while leagues like these could actually support less segregation between the leagues. IMO they should introduce a whole new system of coefficients for youth teams in Europe. That way the youth leagues will gain/lose qualifying spots just like the senior sides. Although I guess not all countries run youth leagues in the same manner, so that might be impossible to coordinate.

I'd rather we rotate our squad vs Stoke than tonight/tomorrow. It won't be that easy, unfortunately. Marseille aren't exactly pushovers. They have crazy talent like Mathieu Valbuena and the Ayew brothers. That's not to say that I don't think Arsenal will win, I just think that it will be a tightly contested game. Marseille: Mandanda, Fanni, Nkoulou, Mendes, Morel Imbula, Romao, Payet, Valbuena, A.Ayew, Gignac Subs: Samba, Mendy, Cheyrou, Lemina, J.Ayew, Thauvin, Khalifa Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Flamini, Ramsey, Wilshere, Ozil, Walcott, Giroud Subs: Fabianski (GK), Vermaelen, Monreal, Jenkinson, Hayden, Akpom, Miyaichi Three kids on the bench. Get well soon, Ox, Podolski, Arteta, Cazorla. ;____; On September 18 2013 20:08 Twisted wrote: Haha yeah, we both pretty much play the same type of football. Looking forward to the match even though we'll probably get destroyed. We can't turtle up like Celtic do, not our style. I'm just hoping that we do well against my second favorite team. Either way, I won't be disappointed should we lose. Just printed out my tickets for all Ajax' home games in the CL this season ![]() How is Ajax lining up these days? I see that Siem de Jong is back already, but they just lost Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen near the end of the transfer window.

Lost a lot of quality with Eriksen and Alderweireld like you said and we don't really have adequate replacements. Bojan isn't playing well at all and our striker sigthorsson isn't either. The one who had to replace Alderweireld, Van der Hoorn, isn't good enough yet. Basically nobody really thinks we have any chance.
