That guy shoved him first from the front of the line back to that position, which was a clear foul, should have probably been a yellow, then he came and shoved and pushed into him again, the Dnipro player just tucked his chin and that's it. Disgraceful. What's worse is that they were fighting for the entire game. You can make a case that Vertonghen instigated this.

Disgraceful. It WAS a headbutt. He clearly moves his head forward. Vertonghen's reaction was embarrassing and unnecessary, but Dnipro can't count themselves unlucky for Zozulya being sent off. Their bad luck came when the incompetent referee missed Soldado's blatant elbow in the first half which was a red card without question. And you obviously didn't watch the game, otherwise you would have seen Matheus dive in the penalty area with Dawson as the last defender. That act was even more shameful than Vertonghen's because it wasn't prompted by an actual foul or offense.

Ludogorets get a nice tasty tie with Valencia :D Porto vs Napoli should be good fun. Then you have Sevilla vs Betis and Juventus vs Fiorentina, what great games haha! Also Spurs vs Benfica is defo 50-50! Especially with how Spurs travel in this competition. Europa League looking interesting again.

That act was even more shameful than Vertonghen's because it wasn't prompted by an actual foul or offense. Seeing all the Tottenham fans qualifying this slight movement of the head as a headbutt (it was more like his head was jerked around because of the force of Vertonghen's impact) makes me question the EPL's reputation as a "physical" league lol. It might be a "headbutt" in this weak sense, but there wasn't enough force in it to hurt anyone. Vertonghen's own momentum was the only reason why there is a small chance that it might have hurt, he was clearly fouling the Dnipro player several times there, and here he was running into him just for the heck of it. The other excuse is "this is all part of the game", but I think I am not alone in not wanting important games to be decided because of ugly behaviour like Vertonghen's.

He's getting older unfortunately but I don't think his game will be affected by age. Don't you feel that rooney was actually getting in the way of Carrick? It felt like most of the wrong passes actually came from Rooney who was dropping far too deep. Someone in the team should tell him to stop doing that, Carrick is a far better passer than Rooney. Anyway Utd should offload Van Persie and move Rooney up front again. They do and this is why a lot of utd fans want Moyes gone. It's not just the results, but the football is lacking as well. I want Benfica and Napoli to go far, and Razgrad is an interesting team from Bulgaria. It's about time that Bulgaria has some success at football again, I still remember the good old times with Stoichkov, Balakov, Kostadinov etc.

Bulgaria's team looked very scary.
