I dont think the "2 non-eu players every team" will not go through. Too much money included.

The other points i am happy, i want English players to get more chance at the highest level to improve that way, the number don't even seem that much and would be alot better. Increase the academy numbers of English players instead of bringing all foreign kids. Will be alot better that way. But saying you can only have two work permit based players which are by the way anyone outside the EU or not played at least i think 2 years in Europe? To not need a work permit, i forget the essential rulings for it. It just means if you buy a player direct from outside Europe your only allowed 2 of them in your squad which is not cool. I like the tighter work permits though, so the likes of Sunderland can't go buying from Uruguay some defenders who were poor by the way instead of giving chance to a youth defender if need be. I do laugh at this new league so all premier ship teams have a B team but then they go on to say well we are going to increase number of loan players for clubs from premiership to allowed up to 8 players loaned to one club...LOL. Will be no need for B teams if that is the case is there! #Facepalm On May 08 2014 22:32 Micro_Jackson wrote: "Half English" sound so wrong^^ I dont think the "2 non-eu players every team" will not go through. So Chelsea will be Oscar who we bought from Internationale and we have bought a few youngsters from Mexico and South America too, but they play for the reserves so i guess that wouldn't matter.

It's fucking terrible. Only six foreigners can play in league. 6+0+4. You can only have six players on your 23 player roster. and that 4 is, other foreigners who will play as rotation. We played semi final at World Cup 2002 and semi final at EURO 2008. Now we cant even qualify for these tournaments lool.

Soccernomics makes the argument that England has consistently punched above its weight already. edit: After listening to that interview I noticed the FA chair seems to get some pretty important facts wrong. If you look across Europe, the B teams don’t always all finish top of the league. That’s not what happens. The Barcelona B team doesn’t beat teams in the lower league, they finished 16th this year I believe. Barca B is in 3rd.

I do understand the point that it might help English players make the jump up into the Premier League and we definitely need better youth programs especially from the Premier League clubs who largely seem to have adopted a policy of buying the talent rather than training it. --- Brighton 1 Derby 1 edit: Cruel goal for Derby against Brighton as a shot comes back of the bar hitting the keeper in back and crossing the line. Brighton have probably been the better team but Derby lead 2:1 now.

You've only had the rule for 1 or 2 years and your national team has been performing badly for longer than that. I don't think a rule for a few players of your own nationality is bad if it's coupled with a requirement to invest into your youth academy. Otherwise it won't work anwyay.

I mean Brighton on paper miles away from these 3 teams, big financial backgrounds and 2 very experienced managers. Yet Brighton showing their strength with a close game. I think Derby vs Wigan final and then its 50-50. Id rather Derby go up as they have better fan base and can actually sell their ground out for a game xD

England's academies need significant reform and I don't see them able to introduce enough quality by 2022 to keep the league at the current level since you have to start at very young ages.
