Not really surprising for me, its FIFA so nothing is set if you "know" the right people. Its all within the rules sure, but did the FIFA anything recently without a bad taste?

Or was it like, his parents were Albanian/English and Turkish/Serbian, but born in Belgium?

Januzaj is eligible to represent Belgium through birth and passport, Albania through his ethnic Albanian heritage, Turkey through his grandparents, and Serbia due to the disputed status of his parents' homeland of Kosovo. He is also eligible to represent Kosovo in international football; although Kosovo does not have a FIFA-affiliated senior team, it does have a FIFA-sanctioned youth team that plays in non-FIFA and non-confederation tournaments and exhibition games against full FIFA members.

His parents are Albanians born in Serbia (Kosovo), he was born in Belgium and moved to England when he was 16. I mean he moved to England in 2011, don't know why he would be eligible to play for them, as for Turkey I think his mother has a Turkish passport. Playing for Belgium was always the logical choice. The British pump billions of pounds into football, all the kids play it, they have all the best coaches in the world. Something needs to change when a football power like that needs to rely on giving out passports to have a strong national team.

Tell that to the Singapore government who spends a lot on importing "foreign talent" for our various sports. Table tennis, badminton, even our football. Belgium is an exciting team on paper with all their young stars. Can't wait to see them shape up to be a powerhouse!
