Some things that catched my eye: Aubameyang could be a fantastic pick up and be the perfect offensive player for dortmunds already scary transition game. Dortmund was physically very strong for the temputre and the fact that the season hasnt begun. Tom Starke is not Manuel Neuer Thiago is not a 6. He is a 8. Offensivly he is insanely good (man this pass to Müller) but you could see clearly that he had problems in the defense if the opponent gets behind the first press wave or they loss the ball in the forward moving. This will be fixed by itself because i think in league games Schweinsteiger will play on the 6 (wayyy stronger defensivly) and in the CL Martinez will most likely play this position. Bayern has the best offense of the planet and will rip apart the Bundesliga offensivly. If they get used to the "new" system they could score 100+ goals this season because the average league team just cant defend things like the tiago pass. I also found the Dante substitution interesting but the game was too short too really see what guardiola wanted to do.

I don't think any other team can pressure the center midfield as hard as BVB can and with no other midfield player to help him he is totally lost. That lost them the game I think and guardiola has to find a solution to this and I can't imagine which place Thiago has in this solution. If he thinks that 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1 with Thiago as a 6 works just because he rolls over Bundesliga than I don't think Bayern will be sucessful against BVB, Chalsea or Barca this season.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/27/gareth-bale-real-madrid-tottenham-hotspur If there's really a 100million € offer by Real and Bale wants to leave, then maybe it's time for Tottenham to let go. I guess more players will insist on release clauses in the future ![]()

Consider this: without Bale, Spurs have no chance of CL qualification this season. Even if Levy reinvests all the money into replacements, the squad will be a mess just like the start of last season. Perez will have to pay for that lost CL revenue. Moreover, Bale is now THE face of the premier league. His image has been in Times Square, he's doing all the things with BT, etc. Bale shirt sales and other advertising will be through the roof this season, and that will have to be compensated as well. Lastly, Perez will have to pay a premium for his disgusting media campaign aimed at unsettling Bale (using Marca and Zidane). I have no idea how much that all adds up to, but it's astronomical.
