edit: And let's not forget that both Ajax and Feyenoord have been performing well with young teams for a while now.

They were such a young and dynamic team, dunno what happened afterwards. The injuries to Park and Wijnaldum played a big part in their slump, without these two players the midfield just gets overrun. IMO I agree with RvB as well, I also think PSV just lack the quality in their youth that Park and Wijnaldum mask a little. Ajax beat Barcelona with a younger average squad than PSV.

Also how about picking the Dream Team of 2013? I'll start: Valdes - Zabaleta, Benatia, Hummels, Alaba - Lahm, Yaya Toure - Ronaldo, Reus, Ribery - Messi BTW, I was about to watch the whole PSG vs Real match, but I eventually stopped at the half time. The way both teams failed defensively and kept missing great opportunities made me close to vomit. Random pro football moneymaking at it's worst.

My dream team of 2013 is as followed: Courtois - Lahm - Kompany - Silva - Alaba - Sweinsteiger - Martinez - Reus - Ronaldo - Ribery - Messi. I really wanted to add Ibra somewhere, but between Messi and Ibra I will always pick Messi.

Brace yourself: some dumbass journalists claim that Manchester United is prepared to bid £50 million for the service of... freaking Ross Barkley from Everton! Even if there was any truth in this whatsoever he would never leave Everton for United at this time. Dream team 2013: Yaya, Suarez, Ronaldo, Messi, Ribery. My dream team plays five-aside.

Evidently they're gonna struggle when they hit some low points and that's exactly what happened. I have a sympathy for PSV because they're like my FM teams lol :3 too many wonderkids. He's still playing the same system that has had its weaknesses exposed game after game. Useless crossing, wingers not able to track back, midfield that can't keep possession or control play. There are too many problems that need to be addressed besides buying new players. I can't imagine not seeing Utd in the CL next season but looks like it's unavoidable now. Yanited should sign Sneijder (midfield needs some serious creativy), Di Maria (Janujaz is too weak for PL) and someone like Gundogan in order to top 4 PL finish. Also 50m for Berkley sounds legit to me. You can expect everything from Moyes.

Roberto Martinez was actually asked about this before the Stoke game. His response? "No, none of our players are available for loan." LOL (vid starts right before question is asked, btw)

Reus Ronaldo and Ribery can interchange positions :p But yeah I think switching Reus for Muller would be a smarter choice. Btw you playing Messi out wide? Not sure I like that :p

Lahm - Kompany - J.Terry - Alaba --------------Schweinsteiger --- Ribery -------- Ozil ------ Ronaldo ----------Messi -------- Suarez 4-4-2 diamond. Cech still the best and most consistant keeper in the world Lahm, best right back in the world Kompany i think the hardest picks where CB but Kompany is solid normally and for 2013 he was solid J Terry for me has shown he still even with lack of pace has the knowledge to organize and be solid. Again who else is there? I see Silva who doesn't get tested every week, Dante who is like Luiz who can he get in peoples team as a CB anyway? Schweinsteiger well i think holding mids there arent many that jump out at me that are true all round holding mids, i would of given it Alonso but Schweinsteiger has won everything with his team so it is only fair to judge that better ![]() Ribery Has had his best year in 2013 been at the heart of most good things Bayern produced he gets the nod over Robben Neymar and Hazard Ozil Best playmaker on the planet, even Mourinho said so ^_^ Ronaldo Best player of 2013 simple. Messi Even with his worst year (mainly due to injury) in 2013 you cannot have a team of any year without him Suarez Well, simply the best striker on the planet and it KILLS ME TO SAY THAT. Very high praise indeed.

would be much more fun if we were building fantasy teams of the year. so we dont have to put Messi, Ronaldo in by default. does anyone know a site that suggests a fantasycosts for players worldwide or so?

Goalkeepers: Manuel Neuer (Bayern) Defenders: Lahm (Bayern Munich), Subotic (Borussia Dortmund), Tiago - Silva (Paris Saint-Germain), Alaba (Bayern) Midfielders: Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich), Gündogan (Dortmund), Azar (Chelsea) Striker: C Ron (Real Madrid), Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund), Franck Ribery (Bayern) A bit too German though but they did have two teams in the CL final
