As for Gerrard, i really wish the media would stop saying hes better than he is. One pundit compared him to a quarterback in terms of importantce and making plays, me and my brother who watch NFL laughed out loud. Hes not that good, he scores nice goals out of no-where which is very useful, and he tried amazing long balls all the time that pundits fail to mention, which results in one amazing pass every now and then. In terms of tackling and intelligent midfield play hes mediocre at best these days. Sorry but the England punditry on gerrard really gets on my nerves. He gives the ball away far to often, and gets picked out as motm because he scores a great goal or an amazing assist, but the rest of his play is so sub-par. It's because 90% of pundits are Liverpool fans or ex Liverpool players He used to be really good but he gets shoved back down the field now and just plays with good old English pride/courage now which obviously is no where near the level you need to be to ranked alongside the best in his position (Xavi Iniesta Pirlo etcetc) But when he could get up and down he was one of the best in that position, would score goals for fun whilst setting up strikers, now its just glimpses xD

He scores great goals from no-where and had amazing vision with long ball passes. What bothers me is that hes lost that long range pass precision and his overall play isn't as good, so it's really shown up for what it is. And when on the pitch hes a ghost who looses the ball lots and his team mates give thier all, he makes 1 pass or scores one goal and gets motm and said to be England's heart and soul ect. Its like, really? Like the last game, Lambert is an old man, whos come into the squad, gave an amazing assist and brilliant positioning gave to two goals, and gerrad gets motm purely for being England captain it seems. But yeah England's pundits are awful, just because you can kick a ball doesn't mean you understand football. Why players often don't make good mangers (see alan shearer). I wonder, to you other Europeans, how is your punditry in other European countries?

If Austria and Ireland draw while Sweden wins, Germany and Sweden are pretty much confirmed through Austria still has a chance to secure second place themselves if we beat Ireland today, Sweden later (we beat Sweden 2-1 at home) and then don't mess up our last game against the Faroe Islands who have historically been our worst enemy I dont think we have to beat Sweden even, do we? A draw would be enough if Sweden loses to Germany.

The only change seems to be Welbeck for Milner, which I agree with given that Welbeck isn't a bloody winger and given that Milner will offer a stronger defensive presence against what will be stronger opposition. EDIT: Interestingly, my current FM2013 game has predicted that Belgium will win the World Cup, with Argentina in second place and Holland in third place. More shockingly, England won a penalty shoot-out! =P Whenever that happens I usually just quit the game and restart over. I'm sorry but that just isn't realistic.

I wonder, to you other Europeans, how is your punditry in other European countries? He is fucking class is what he is. His passing range is excellent, he has a mean tackle, and he is still a big goal threat. Im gonna go out on a limb and guess you guys don´t watch many Liverpool games, because after a rocky start to last season Gerrard has been insanely good for almost a year straight now. If it wasn´t for the absolutely ridiculous performances he has put in over the years he would have been praised alot more lately, but people still expect him to maraud around like the unstoppable force he used to be. When you say he is a ghost on the field you are just bullshitting/fishing. He is leading by doing and he never hides. Playing Moldova is no big test, but the performance he put in was simply sublime. Dumb game to berate him for. Here is a video with bad music and good footie.. His last club game? Oh yeah that was when he put in an amazing defensive shift against the defending champions after whipping in the corner that lead to the goal. Just writing about the man makes me smile, what a player.

No. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2320648/Premier-League-long-passes-stats-No-Steven-Gerrard-10-Mousa-Dembele-leads.html 303 of 393 long passes completed, 109 more than the next highest player, I'd say that's pretty good.

Dutch punditry in general is poor to mediocre, but occasionally you get guys like van Marwijk or Hiddink giving their thoughts on champions league or Eredivise games which shoots up the level to some of the best around. Especially Hiddink's knowledge is just incredible.

England so shite >.< When a draw vs Ukraine is a good result you know the international team isn't so good XD Oh well, maybe we could still fluke it with 2 wins from 2....maybe lol. I still think Poland will make or break England. They will play better vs us than Ukraine but hopefully Ukraine play as bad as they did vs England vs them so it's alot easier. Oh well...
