The LA Galaxy announced on Monday that the club has signed goalkeeper Jaime Penedo on a free transfer and that he will be added to the club’s roster pending the receipt of his P1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.
The 31-year-old Panamanian international spent the last six seasons playing in Guatemala with Municipal and most recently helped lead Panama to the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. Per club and league policy, details of the contract were not disclosed.
Penedo began his club career in his native Panama, beginning his professional career with Plaza Amador before joining Arabe Unido, who he helped lead to the Apertura and Clausura titles in 2004. After two years in Europe, playing in Italy for Cagliari and in Spain for Ossauna, Penedo returned to Central America, joining Guatemalan side Municipal in 2007.
He spent the last six years with the Guatemala City-based club, helping them win two Clausura titles (2008 and 2010) and two Apertura titles (2009 and 2011) while appearing in more than 150 games for the club. Behind the play of Penedo, Municipal qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League four times in the six years of the competition.

Oke, if you guys say Agger is good I trust you.

QPR loaning out two players, Loic Remy to Newcastle, and Adel Taraabt to Fulham.

Off-topic, but how excited are you to see SKC in the Champions League for the first time on Wednesday?

So I saw this comment on an ESPN story, and it's fantastic.
"Either that, or we're living in some weird parallel universe where things don't make sense."
Madrid are bidding 100 million euro + for Gareth Bale, Monaco are spending hundreds of millions bringing in players like Falcao (who might not actually be the age he says he is), PSG just bought out Cavani for over 60 million without any hesitation at all, Chelsea value David Luiz at 50 million euro, Thiago Alcantara left for Bayern for a pittance, David Villa went to Atletico for peanuts, Barcelona still can't buy a center back, Manchester United still can't buy anyone, Bayern have more midfielders than they know what to do with yet are fielding their right back in midfield, Ronaldo squabbles with Mourinho over who the real Ronaldo is, Fiorentina can't figure out who the actual agent of a player is, Luis Suarez bit another human being yet Liverpool are desperate to keep him, and you expect me to believe we live in a world that makes sense?
Oh right, Arsenal once again promised to buy world class players and haven't, so I guess nothing's changed.
*sigh*
Also if Mourinho really did mean that as a slight to Ronaldo, he's an asshat (or even more of a confirmed asshat than previously); making a dig at the guy that totally carried your last team to whatever bit of success it had is beyond asinine. Especially since I remember him making a video about how Ronaldo is better than Messi and should win the Ballon. Building a team on the back of one player then throwing him under the boss when leaving is the lowest of low class.

mourinho has always been a scumbag, no sorprise here.

Haha, nice find, ZapRoffo. I really hope that this silliness blows over in a few years. These transfer prices are ridiculous. I don't see how we can maintain any stability if things stay the way they are. I'm really interested to see what happens.

Xavi has not changed. He is like Nicholas Cage and Keanu Reeves.
Man the list of Spurs midfielders is as long as your arm:
Bale TOT 12.0 249 i Lennon TOT 7.5 130 i Dembele TOT 5.5 78 i Sigurdsson TOT 7.0 77 i Rose TOT 5.0 62 i Sandro TOT 5.5 58 i Townsend TOT 5.5 49 i Parker TOT 4.5 43 i Huddlestone TOT 5.0 40 i Holtby TOT 6.5 18 i Livermore TOT 4.5 12 i Carroll TOT 4.5 10 i Dawkins TOT 4.5 4 i Falque TOT 4.5 1 i Paulinho TOT 7.0 0 i Chadli
They have taken great players who made MASSIVE contributions to their teams before Tottenham and turned them into minor bit part players. So sad. I think maybe the limit on squads should be less.
Having said that lol,
Mata CHE 10.5 212 i Hazard CHE 9.5 190 i Lampard CHE 8.0 150 i Oscar CHE 8.5 117 i Ramires CHE 6.5 101 i Moses CHE 6.5 56 i Mikel CHE 4.5 45 i Piazon CHE 4.5 2 i van Ginkel CHE 6.0 0 i McEachran CHE 5.0 0 i Schürrle CHE 8.0 0 i De Bruyne CHE 7.0 0 i Essien

Midfield wars ftw xD Wouldn't change Chelsea squad for any other in the league at the moment though. Everyone seems to be playing so well already. Only one player i'd like in and thats Rooney with then probably one striker has to go (Torres or Ba)

Even though I didn't mind him, lots of people hated him for playing unfair and generally being a dick on the pitch. This year's PSV squad features lots of new names, and PJS may just be the oldie they can use as a mentor. They looked great against Zulte Waregem last week, much more like Ajax than before.
