It's mostly because many bad Asian and African countries get seeded to World Cup at the expense of some really good European ones. Such is life. | ||

Such is life. That makes little to no sense as in Euro Cup there are 16 European Teams and in the World cup normally there are 13 to 15 teams. So, in normal circunstances, we end up with the same amount of euro talent in both tourneys. And IMO in terms of "prestige" it's WC > CL > Euro Cup. But in normal circunstances the CL is the most awesome tourney. The World cup just has an added greatness because it only happens once every 4 years. | ||

people who don't care about soccer watch soccer watch the world cup and it's held every four years. the champs league is every year and only people who really care aobut football watch it. euros... yeah, way behind champs league and world cup. also, think about this. would messi be thought of as highly at the end of his career if he wins more champs leagues but no world cup than say maradona or pele? I very much doubt it | ||
