I want to disagree with you but people will call me a bias fanboy whatever. That second half was all Chelsea bar a 2 minute wobble after that mistake leading to the equaliser. No marking for vidal goal and a horrible mistake for the second goal. Chelsea was in control that second half and I think Pandemona has no idea what he is talking about questioning RDM's tactics. A team off a bad two results comes against a team that is undefeated champs of italy and not losing a game (bar supercup) for 48 fixtures and we only drew because of a mistake. Wow, shocking result right? sack the manager -yawn-.
But yoh that second chelsea goal. Pure class.

Skipping 3 obvious penalties against Galatasaray can not be explained, let alone all the positions being pretty much the same. 3 times, Manchester United defenders kick the foot right after Galatasaray strikers take control of the ball, no penalties. Thanks Wolfgang Stark. It's just his strange way of refereeing, he did the same to the Croatians against Spain. UEFA should sort him out already, it's embarassing to watch for us Germans.

Thanks Wolfgang Stark. Yeah completely ignore the handball that should have been a penalty for united and over exadurate two decisions that wern't pentalties. Way to think logically. I'm sure its a consipiracy though, your right.

Oh please don't argue in favor of Wolfgang Stark. The home advantage was so apparent in every single way in that game. If the 3 supposed penalties by Galatasaray weren't penalties then Man U shouldn't have gotten one either.
Bias aside no-one can argue that it wasn't awful refereeing.

Game was about even, both teams had their moments to win the game, Mata went close and Juve hit the bar, Chelsea actually finished stronger, but I think the main area for concern for Chelsea was that they needed a stronger player (like Drogba) to play alongside Torres, he was up against some top class defenders by himself, needed some physical presence up there to help him imo and give the defenders something to think about as they were allowed to play it out from the back too easily.

Is there any way to watch these games after the fact?

What the heck, German teams suck at taking penalties. Dortmund, Schalke, Bayern and Gladbach all missed a penalty during their international fixtures this week - and we're not even done with German teams yet. Anyone want to bet on Leverkusen and/or Hannover missing a penalty within the next two hours?
Edit: Damn, mixed this up with the Football thread. Sorry. Considering CL: Happy about German teams' performances, especially Dortmund. Looked damn shaky at first, but we won, so whatever

Week 2 started with early start Celtic vs Spartak Moscow.

Damn you Joe Hart! Stop it already.

Really? Penalty for that?! You have to kidding me. Undeserved goal for City!
|
Yeah Dortmund should have taken their chances when they came but that call was fucking ridiculous (Edit: maybe not that ridiculous but questionable)
|
City didn't deserve a point today but on the other hand Dortmund had all the chances in the world to put it out of reach

Special Mentions & Statistics We have 3 teams making their Debut's in this years competition and deserve special mention; Malaga Montpellier Nordsjælland [i] Special mentioning goes out to Nordsjælland who were only founded 21 years ago! Thats quite outstanding!
Malaga CF was founded ago 20 years, at 1992-1993. We had a team before that but that team dissapeared because of economical reasons.

Real Madrid vs Dortmund and Schalke vs Arsenal round 2, this will be a great matchday.

I sure hope Ajax can get a point (or three xD) against City. I think they are a good side (I'm not a supporter in the national league) with some great football this year, and the worst luck on the draw.
Would be great if they get in to the Europa League at least.

german teams will have to show now if they really deserve the praise they've goten in the past weeks. Are they on par with the top clubs from england and spain or still behind? i'm excited

Rofl Man city. Ajax have been dreadful in the league. Should have lost against Feyenoord and were simply outclassed by Vitesse, yet are up 2-0 against Man city in Manchester.
