Other than just breaking the highest all time goal scoring record for Chelsea, he has another record for scoring at least 10 goals for 10 consecutive seasons (for the same club)!

He has always been scoring double digits for Chelsea. Alan Shearer did it for 11 seasons in Newcastle and Rovers. Andy Cole for 9 seasons.

But I digress...he has ALWAYS been scoring goals.

Yeah, I just checked it, he's the first scorer with "only" 203 goals, that must mean chelsea didn't have a prolific scorer for many years.

Well we haven't been at the top level for ALL the years of our history. Our best players have never scored much. We seemed to always buy older type players. The best player Chelsea had pre the big spending was obviously Zola, he was the best and greatest we have had (thus far) and he never got near any records.

Peter Osgood is probably Chelsea's greatest Striker, and he was so fucking good, but he left after 10years due to problems he had with the manager, so im guessing he could of got alot higher in goals if he stayed. He did return for 10games and got another 2

The other is;
Bobby Tambling who previously had the record, we signed him young and played him through until he was 27 and sold him, but remember back then these players werent as fit as they are now the reason we probably sold him that young to a bottom of the division team Palace back then.
His record was quite amazing and had the games but as you can see no where near as many as Frank has in just one season more

That is the main difference i see or the likes of Osgood and Tambling would of scored so much!

There has been other strikers we have had, but we have never really had anyone as good as Osgood and Tambinling for the time we would need for him to set our records xD
Lampard also has played in more appearances than most

Yeah our highest goals tally is lower than a lot of teams. Would be pretty weird for a midfielder to beat a record like Ian Rush's or Dixie Dean's. By the way my TL name is sc4k not scak, I made it when I joined up to get starcraft in a poll to 4,000 votes

This FA cup final is really drab and city are playing quite lazy right now. I'm glad I went to the gym instead of watch the beginning.
