Hello the TL community,

My team and I are 4 passionate french people with BW (over 11 years!) and now SC2. We were active in eSports since 2010, running SC2 tournaments, and at the end of 2011, we launched eGG-one school: a website which proposes coaches from every eSports game on the same fully automated platform. For students, the platform provides the easiest way to book a lesson with the best suited coach. For coaches, a fully automated payment and reservation system has been developed (calendar, Paypal or credit card securized payment, dispute management...). Only active in France so far, it's now time to go international!

With 5200 hours of coaching bought in France since the opening of the website, in november of 2011, eGG-one school has had an unexpected success. More than 130 000$ (100 000€ ) have been exchanged on mainly five eSport games (League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Counter-Strike : GO, DotA2 and Street Fighter IV). Each day, 300 active coaches are available to share their passion with the 4000 students who are already using the platform. eSports games are numerous and may evolve over time, but the desire to get better at the game will always be there, as well as the will for the best players to share their passion and knowledge.

Fun facts about eGG-one school
- We have two couples within our coaches : one in LoL and one in CS:GO

- 6 of our 300 active coaches are girls. Most of their students are men, as most of the population on the website

- The most reservations done in one day was 30 hours by one client... who actually booked the coaching sessions for a whole team of League of Legends players

- The coach with the most hours given is a SC2 french pro, LDLCcomhG, with 946 hours of coaching given, and the second is a Franco-portuguese LoL pro, Hmmer, with 663 hours.

- One of the first eGG-one school client was a SC2 passionnate who had won a small amount on the french lotery and tested each and every coach on the website

History
eGG-one has been active in eSports since 2010. The team of 4 old time friends, passionate with eSports, was first known for the organisation and casting of SC2 and LoL french tournaments, such as the eGG-one Starleague and the LDLC Nashor Trophy, featuring players like MoMaN, ToD, Stephano for SC2 and YellowStar, Hyrqbot or Narkuss for LoL. Spending time with the french top players, eGG-one team discovered the need for a platform to organize and manage eSports coaching. Within three months, the first version of the eGG-one school website was online, and the first hour of coaching was sold.

Also working as video maker, eGG-one school produced this video you might have heard of:

Do you want to coach ? You're welcome!
We just launched the site outside of France and there aren't many SC2 coaches who have registered yet. Dont hesitate to apply ! We welcome all competitive players who want to share their passion and their knowledge with students. We aim to bring a new option for some players who put a lot into the scene to be rewarded financially and in a interesting way. It's one of the numerous ways to develop eSports You can apply here

We need your feedback
We started this sponsored thread because TL has always seemed to us like the best place to talk about eSports. There's nothing more valuable to us than users or soon to be users feedback, and we'd love to hear what the TL community has to say about the brand new version of our website. We know eSports coaching has been out there for a while, we just hope to boost this tendancy along with the other coaching websites. Also, if you have any questions or want to give private feedback, please send us an email

Super simple to use and looks really nice, although (as you're obviously aware) it needs a lot more English coaches. Hopefully people sign up to coach!

eGG-one is one of the most reliable esports organizations in France. I didn't try the coaching because I barely play the game but I didn't heard any issues about them.

(And holy shit, hG earned like 20k€ with the coaching :o, well played french Naama)

From a coaching perspective, so far the greatest thing about eGG-one is the admin support. They really get involved, try to help you and promote you, respond quickly and answer any questions. They also allow bundle packages which is such a useful tool. I like nerdupgrades.com as a site, but I've found very little ongoing improvement and zero response from the admins throughout my using it. eGG-one has helped me and communicated with me more in the past two weeks than months with any other site, which is even more impressive when you realize that most of the admins probably have english as a second or even third language.

Very easy site to use, good for both coaches and students, hope it keeps picking up steam and grows!

There has been lots of these before. But this one looks like it has a lot of thought into it. Hopefully it gets off the ground :D

Best of Luck!

really great except the name egg-one is really bad... it doesn't tell you anything about what the organization is or does. brand names are integral in the success of your product, i'd consider renaming your organization, especially if you're opening up internationally and plan to take this further.
