You couldn't be more wrong. The common man enjoys entertainment and opportunities to hang out with friends. Do you think people played baseball or soccer for the past thousand years? Or do you think that they became popular at a particular time and place. You may have noticed that eSports is becoming popular.

there are answers missing: for instance, I never watch TV, and I don't have a choice for that: minimum is 1 hour watching. Also, I think you should define what you mean by e-sports, because it's far from clear, and your survey may suffer from that.

Over 1300 right now, I'll have results by the end of the week. It looked at first like you meant that those favorites would be the only ones used for statistics. Also, did anyone else give you a video response for what esports means to them? :p

Millions of people watch TV because its really easy. Who wants to spend hours setting up their computer for eSports viewing? Not only that but some places dont let you watch without paying. By using a tv as a broadcasting agent for eSports, they would get tons of money from commercials and sponsors. Lots of people would open their eyes and realize that gaming is the future. Right not sc2 and eSports live in this underground market almost and nobody is going to find it unless they are looking for it. TV would allow people to stumble upon it easier. Another thing about eSports which i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE. This makes me so upset.... So imagine a caster, IE: day9 is just babbling on about something esports related. Throughout his spiel he describes his audience as nerds. NERDS? Ok thats not too bad right? Well guess what? the word, "Nerd" is defined as "Noun: A foolish or contemptible person who lacks social skills or is boringly studious: "one of those nerds who never asked a girl to dance". An intelligent, single-minded expert in a particular technical discipline or profession." (google definition) I dont want to be a nerd, since it is a negative connotation. Seriously lets get past the word and open esports to the average baller, rather then keep it to You nerds. Doesn't that just sound terrible? You nerds. Get it together eSports. derp
