Mad props to Playhem for these tourneys, as well as letting players stream even though they take viewers away from PlayhemTV...not many events allow such things and it's great for the players and community

I always love seeing the TL calendar with like 20 streams listed under the Playhem Daily whenever the tournaments start [:. Props to Playhem.
|
Playhem is damn badass and I love it for allowing lesser known players to have a chance at: prize money, playing vs pros and listing their stream under the playhem daily event.
|
Playhem is great, but there is always few players in diamond/platinum tournaments that are smurfs from masters, and theres nothing really that anyone can do. Its not Playhem fault that there is like 3-4 players everyday that want to take few dollars playing vs lower skilled players.. Anyways if your lucky in bracket you might not play them till semis/final. Thats why I manage to get 10$ in November playing Playhem tournamnets
ESL/Zotac/CraftCup and other open cups should go into Playhem style, daily tournaments with league separation and some prize money. Because nothing will motivate more a Platinum/Diamond level player to play harder/train more and win 8-5$ than getting into round 3 of Go4Sc2/Zotac or CraftCup
|
Yeah seriously a great thing, just got 2nd in the Plat Tournement. It's a small prize, but still quite motivating!

Great job! :D Motivates me too to play! :D

Just the fact that there is a prize at all would probably be a good motivator for people to join, even though it's a rather small prize.
I love playhem. :>
|
Playhem is doing a great job, keep it up!
|
Love playhem. I hope they only grow bigger out of this. Doing a great thing for the sc2 community. Keep it goin!
|
These tournaments are really great, lineups are getting pretty stacked so even if your not playing you should tune in to watch the liquid players and koreans who are!

Finally an Article that informs me lazy jerk what Playhem even is xD Great Project, definitely going to check this out!
|
Much love to Playhem. I try to participate in their tourneys as much as I can (free cash to us amateurs!) sick good admins with nice reaction time and the interface at the site is very user friendly!
|
Playhem is gosu. I just don't understand how you guys are profitable o.o
<3333
|
I love watching player streams as they fight themselves up the bracket and I love playhem for giving the players a stage to do that every day. One thing they could change though, would be to make the brackets accessible on their front page without the need to sign in.
|
I love Playhem from the very beginning. Very professional casters and admins.
|
Looking forward to competing! (at the noob level)
|
I love casting for Playhem we get so many great supporters that love to talk to us in chat, and that love to just hangout after and play some random games, always a good time at Playhem
|
Playhem is fantastic. I learn new things every time I watch the stream and its a joy to cast as well. If you have not seen a Playhem cast, your missing out on some amazing action. The player pool is just sick and I'm lucky to be a part of such an amazing organization.
|
Playhem is amazing. Enough said.
|
Inspirational company, keep up the great work and everything you do for StarCraft 2!
|
I love what you do unfortunately I don't have the time to play anymore

Fully agree; fantastic job on the tourments, the site, the casting, but please make the bracket available easier or just update the OP here on TL at least.

These are nearly the coolest thing in the community right now.

^Agreed.
Keep up the excellent work, guys! I love listening to the EU daily while I'm working, and I run to turn on the NA whenever possible. Seems like everyone at Playhem works really hard to deliver quality content in a semi~laid-back atmosphere. The interaction with the chat is stellar, and something I'm sure most people love during the short breaks. (Who doesn't like to hear their own name or comment called 'on air' !?)
You all are amazing for doing what you are doing, and quite inspirational as well. I love that the tournaments are so readily available for anyone to sign up for, and have the opportunity to play. Additionally, the sheer quantity of matches allows for the audience to receive live-casted games on a daily basis - which is not only, imo, the most fun way to receive games, but you all provide a learning experience for anyone who is interested in playing or casting in the future.
:D

Playhem is great. I'm watching it a lot, and even playing sometimes in the bronze/silver tourneys
One thing I'd really like, though, would be if past results (especially of the $75 opens) were made accessible. With tourneys running daily, the sample sizes will soon become big enough so that significant statistical data can be pulled from the results.
|
|
Support this tournament! The admins are very responsive and easy to talk to. How many tournaments do you know who run daily on 2 servers and give 75$ each? and 100$ on the weekends?!!

Presidenten over at liquipedia has been doing an amazing job keeping statistics and links to the brackets update on our liquipedia page, you should check it out and throw him some comments for the fantastic work he's done editing the wiki

Playhem puts on some great tournaments that I love to play in almost every day. Very good practice and a very fun place to hang out

Wow! Thanks for all the love guys <3! It's really community support from all of you that's helped make Playhem what it is and what it's becoming, keep it up guys =D!

I have a request, can you make it easier to find brackets for the dailies if you aren't playing in them?

Been watching playhem for a few months now, no idea how they manage to pump so much money into it. StarTales Rainbow completely dominates these brackets I'm pretty sure playhem has payed his rent for the past three months!
Some great casting combos in Robin and Frodan, Lyrlian and Nerdswagger very entertaining stuff!
|
Playhem <3 Lyrlian and Nerdswagger are awesome

And theres really no excuse to not have an account at Playhem its free, and for such a great tournament we all should fallow/subscribe them at social media sites.

I love playhem!!
It's just so much more fun to play in a tournament once in a while than just to ladder, and playhem makes this opportunity of variation available to everyone on a daily basis
<3 Keep it up!
|
Great touranments! I love playing and watching these.
|
Entertaining and motivational. Its nice to see some tourney play and get away from the ladder on a regular basis. Kudos for tourneys at all levels. Website could use some revamping.
|
|
Everyone should play on playhem daily! They are doing awesome.... Guys show some support and win money!
|
I always watch Axslav's stream while he plays on Playhem - it's definitely awesome!
|
|
Only issue I have with Playhem tournaments is there's no point ranking/leaderboard or anything. With a daily tournament with tons of top players all the time, you really could gather an interesting set of statistics about all the players, maps, etc.
But still, playhem is fucking awesome.
|
love playhem, super organized, and love watching them!!

But still, things like prize $ rankings, individual stats for players/matchups... A lot could be done with the amount of data playhem has.

I agree completely it seems like this is the only slightly major thing playhem is missing. z33k does, but its interface is far worse.

Participated. Got 4 gated by a GM in the first round. I've never been this terrified of four gate - True story

Awesome stuff, just played in my first event yesterday. Lowly Platinum tournament, Loss to a terran that I think i was better than, but had a great time. Looking forward to playing nearly every night.

Love this tournament, really good for the sc2 scene

Yes at some point, we would definitely love to break into the Korean scene more

Neeb - Think you could put a more descriptive link to the feedback thread (the one with the calendar and info) on the op? It's a little tough to find. Just a thought. Thx :D

Gold/Plat/Diamond Bo1 are pain cheesefest.... grrr out of like 12 playhems I won 2 and other 10 I lose to cheese allins -_- grrrr!

do you requier anything to make a tourniment

On December 10 2011 15:28 Redox wrote:Show nested quote +On December 10 2011 12:57 Antoine wrote: I have a request, can you make it easier to find brackets for the dailies if you aren't playing in them? To both of you, the only way to navigate tournaments is to actually have an account. If you're logged in, hit the tournaments button and then find the tournament you want, click, and if the tournament is on the bracket will load (or be one of the selectable tabs). The only other method is via direct link and you can get that via the www.twitch.tv/playhemtv chat as myself Ben Ryan or another admin/caster will be there to help you. Brackets are usually listed in the welcome message or in the banner as well.
It's completely free to sign up with playhem. You can do so via your facebook account or email, or both! Tournaments are also free to participate in!
On December 17 2011 06:19 totaly_savage wrote: do you requier anything to make a tourniment
I don't think so. A general requirement for making a tournament is that you actually show up to it. We have problems where commisioners(the creators of the tournaments) don't show up which makes things difficult if another admin isn't on and there's a problem with the brackets or something. If you want to make a tournament, just be sure to show up and moderate it!

It's really easy if you know what you're searching for. Search playhemtv in the search box and it'll show up. Here's a direct link. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=283608

so you dont need money to make a money tourniment same with points?
|
On December 17 2011 06:49 totaly_savage wrote: so you dont need money to make a money tourniment same with points?
Points tournaments require points. I believe it's possible to make buy-in tournaments with real cash, but you end up getting cash in the end. (This is for third party tournaments made on the playhem site).
Our tournaments, require a single point, (which has no real value and you can literally have a limitless supply of them via sharing results through facebook and stuff. you get 500 to start off with). Then if you place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in a Playhem Daily Tournament you're rewarded with cash .
Hope that clarifies things.
|
so if i make a tourniment for point i would have to use my owne points/cash?
|
I just won $2 in a bronze/silver playhem daily, but now it wont let me withdraw the money >.> says there isnt enough money in the account.
|
On December 17 2011 07:03 totaly_savage wrote: so if i make a tourniment for point i would have to use my owne points/cash?
The points come from entry fees. The prizes shown when making a tournament are based off a full tournament (ie all 256 slots are actually filled at start time) but will be automatically adjusted when the tournament starts to reflect the actual number of signups.
On December 17 2011 07:04 thyrfa wrote: I just won $2 in a bronze/silver playhem daily, but now it wont let me withdraw the money >.> says there isnt enough money in the account.
You can withdraw to PayPal anytime by going to the Cashier page, going to Withdraw, and entering the dollar amount and PayPal email address you want to withdraw to. The minimum amount required to withdraw is $1

Kibbelz and Psylence did an AMAZING job casting! Can't wait for the next one, Playhem is going great. Nothing could be better.
|
OMFG I love these casters, they are great and are very knowledgeable about SC2 and are overall very funny. The caster who helped Kibbelz tonight was awesome. (Sorry his name escaped me). I watch these streams as much as possible. I love this stream so much.

Haha that was me! Thanks so much for the loves guys, always looking to make it entertaining for you guys! <3
|
Kibbelz and Psylence were great! I didn't even know it was Psylence's first time casting here until they said it at the end.
Also Playhem is great! Casters are very friendly and always participate in chat. I love how they are all open to feedback and criticisms, and if I have any I will let you guys know.
The one thing that makes me watch Playhem is that the tournies are casted and played LIVE. This makes me choose Playhem over NASL, IPL, etc. because casting from replays is nowhere near exciting as live games. (Also casters are much more entertaining and colorful, and just the right amount of awkwardness) Please keep doing Playhem and I will continue to watch!
|
I was promised a thousand goats for this: I would like my 1000 goats please.
But in all seriousness: Always Impressed / never disappointed in Playhem - winners all around. EVERYONE who participates in these tournaments should give themselves a hug and a high five. ( GJ Psylence, btw ) -

I can actually get you the 1000 goats. Will take me a little bit to round em up and it's going to cost you a whole bunch to ship them from Croatia to where you are. Are you sure you want this?

Thanks man I look forward to the next daily I get to cast with Kibbelz (or anyone for that matter) :D

Not that my [however many] other 'feedbacks' aren't real feedback, but here's some real feedback today. The chat reminded me of this: It would be good to see a message on the channel if the stream will not be casted for a regularly-scheduled session. People show up, and are like "wtf?" and then wait in suspense to see if someone is just late to turn on the stream. Of course, I realize that even though it only takes about 6 minutes (max) to do, it's not always possible, but if it IS possible to just change out that heading and/or chat message or even the overlay pic so that people are informed... that would be amaaazing. 8D
But still, keep up the awesomeness, guys. <3 !!! and Happy Holidays.

Hey guys,
I can't seem to add the Starcraft 2 game. I entered my correct SC2 Profile URL and character code and pressed save but nothing happens -- the background just keeps rolling bars.
|
hello. is there Playhem Daily for us foreigners in the Korea/Taiwan (KR/TW) server? hopefully one comes soon!
|
I'm having trouble linking my battle.net profile, it says it's already in use but I've never signed up on the site. Any help?
|
Extreme amounts of smurfing kind of ruin the lower level tourneys but the quality of the $75 daily is so epic that it cancels it all out. Getting to watch top EU and NA players every day is a pretty awesome experience.
|
I definitly think two types of things should change.
1) The starting maps should not be the same every day. It's getting kind of stale lossing in the first or second round every day on Tal'darim. Speaking of which... 2) Remove Tal'darim Altar. The GSL Doesn't use it anymore and neither should you.
|
The signup via facebook doesnt' work at the moment btw. after pressing sign up after entering a nickname nothing happens
|
|
What happened to the daily? I dont even see it on playhem anymore :/

I know they stopped fifa because the new game messed up the verification of winning and shit,, site pretty much needed to be done all over again and they wasn't gaining people joining, poker was a last ditch attempt
