** UPDATE (May 13, 2011) ** A new shipping option has been added. It is only for those outside of North America and is somewhat cheaper than the UPS but it will take much longer. UPS shipping takes 3 days and Canada Post shipping will take 6 - 8 weeks.
StarCraftMecca in Full Swing! CALGARY, Alberta, May 9th, 2011 - Since the launch of StarCraftMecca back in April of 2010 many changes have been made to the website as well as the business model that the company was based on. Over the past year, StarCraftMecca has gotten recognition from many StarCraft teams in South Korea and the goal to provide fans with merchandise from all StarCraft BroodWar and StarCraft II teams is now within reach.
The website and store are both undergoing changes to make navigating easier as well as allowing for integration of social applications such as Facebook and Twitter. This means that in the next few months both the website and store will be moving towards a more Web 2.0 design that will allow us to make such changes to the backbone.
As for the business model, StarCraftMecca used to run on a "presale" model which meant that none of the merchandise was actually in stock and was ordered from the manufacturer after the customer placed the order with StarCraftMecca. StarCraftMecca has now started to preorder the merchandise from the manufacturers and the merchandise is uploaded to the store only when it arrives at StarCraftMecca.
The Return of CJ Entus April 11, 2011 was the anniversary of the day that CJ Entus was formed. That along with the recent name change from hite Entus back to CJ Entus, the marketing manager of CJ Entus contacted StarCraftMecca to see if fans would be interested in team uniforms from CJ Entus. Not only did he offer the usual team uniforms but he also mentioned that he would be able to get the actual uniform that the players wore themselves. StarCraftMecca quickly took advantage of the situation and ordered everything on the spot and a couple days later it arrived at StarCraftMecca HQ.
On May 9th, 2011 at noon MST, the CJ Entus merchandise will go on sale (as well as leftover KT bags and QSENN keyboards). This includes the new merchandise as well as some old ones that were worn by the progamers of CJ Entus. This includes past progamers such as Orion, cOzY, M[fOu], and many more. Many of these have been signed by the current progamers of CJ Entus and is the last of its kind. The more recognized merchandise such as sAviOr's jacket, IdrA's jacket, and the jacket that EffOrt wore when he won the Korean Air OSL S1 will go up for auction on a later date.
Hwaseung Oz Debacle Last but not least, the Hwaseung Oz situation has been taken care of and the details of what you can do is all posted here. Please refrain from posting any questions regarding Hwaseung Oz merchandise here and direct it all to that post to get the fastest reply.
StarCraft II Teams As mentioned a couple times on the StarCraftMecca Twitter and Facebook, a couple of StarCraft II teams have agreed to do business with StarCraftMecca so here's a poll to help determine who we should start with.
+ Show Spoiler [StarCraft II Team Uniform Poll] +Poll: Which StarCraft II team should StarCraftMecca work with first?SlayerS (446) 74% StarTale (131) 22% MVP (23) 4% 600 total votes Your vote: Which StarCraft II team should StarCraftMecca work with first? (Vote): StarTale (Vote): MVP (Vote): SlayerS
Please note that these are the teams that have agreed to do business with StarCraftMecca and the other teams have given the response "We need to get a main sponsor first." or "We are talking with our sponsor on mass producing uniforms.". StarCraftMecca has gotten in contact with IM, HoSeo, oGs, fOu, ZeNEX, Prime, and TSL.

StarcraftMecca is going to destroy everyone in 2011

Never been a fan of wearing SC progaming shirts... but I know a lot of people will drip when they see this.
|
in the delivery charges section it just says you ship to a "wide range of countries". a list would be just super
would love to see IM shirts in the future, but the slayers design has always looked sick
|
Savior's and Idra's jackets... Wow... just wow... I want one of those :D

UPS does deliver worldwide, it's just some places (outside of North America I think?) they'll only deliver by Express which becomes pretty expensive.

I have Favorited this site for when I have some money.

Effort's jacket? :O Curious to see how much that's going to go for!

Savior and efforts jacket! =O

but still, i'd love to order a shirt. but with the dimensions panel of their size guide not having units, and making it hard for me to know if they deliver here (even though they 99% likely do). not having currency conversions available, stuff like this drives some people away from buying

NO THIS IS TOO EARLY KORE I NEEDZ MONEY ;;
EFFORT ;;
Actually I've given up hope of getting anything Effort related, but fuck I hope the shirts don't go too fast my credit card was stolen recently FUCK.

Well played sir, hilarious ^^.
Also good luck Core - When you get the OZ shirt in stock again I'm totally buying.

im gonna be honest. you should have waited to buy this thread for once you actually had sc2 apparel. very few people actually care about CJ Entus uniforms at this point. anyway i remember checking this site like 2 months ago and it has the same things on it today as it did back then with nothing new that i can see.

So if you say that the clothes have already arrived at your HQ, will the shipping be alot faster than prior orders?

That Qsenn keyboard is a great deal, I paid 60 for mine. Snow in that pic advertising Jeans looks so bad ass, I want a pair just because of that, haha.

don't ebay everything at once do it one at a time so people can slowly spead the word out

|
Wow, those jackets look awesome. Shame they're so expensive!
|
Cool, hope to see some SlayerS or StarTale stuff soon
|
just a random question though, do the jackets include shipping.
I was saving up some money to move to korea, but this looks like a good reason to take some money out of that fund
|
ahh oh my god i want a slayers jacket so bad!
|
Are there any cheaper shipping options its almost as much as the shirt ;___;
EDIT: Dam I have no choice CEEEEEEEEJAAAAAAAAAY

The stocks are all getting closer and closer to 0 and I am 5 hours away from my credit card... ;_;

I totally forgot about this, i always wanted to buy a CJ shirt but until i can buy one, which is next week, they might be out of stock again -.-

k0re,
Any news or chances on KT merchadnize other than the bags? That's what I am waiting for the most.
*crosses fingers*

I'd love to see some other team merchandise. I'm not particularly familiar with CJ. I assume they are a BW team? Regardless, get some popular GSL team merchandise and you'll make a fortune. I know I'd buy a few things from different teams.

I'm sorry, but your comment made me laugh so hard.
CJ is one of the best Brood war teams around, They were one of only a couple of teams to have a american on their team (Idra), and have been one of the most starfilled teams in bw.
kOre needs to focus on bw merchandise, not sc2, sc2 will turn him broke if anything. bw is where the money is at.
anyways, I'm hoping the items i'm steaking out don't sell out before i order them.
|
Oh man, I'd loooove one of those CJ shirts. But I also can't wait until they have Startale merchandise. D:
I just know I'll play better if I can wear Bomber's outfit while I'm laddering. ^^
|
I'd love to buy some stuff from here if I could get it in my size, lol. Us fatties can't wear the smaller shirts.
|
HOLY FUCK
I hope I have money soon. I've never splurge alot of money on anything before, but i would pay a arm, and a leg for a savior jacket.
Woooooooooo.
Edit: being a adult sucks. paying bills, and shit. I had more spending money when i wasn't paying for shit.
|
will the prices be viable this time? or is it still like 50 bucks postage?

New T-shirts sold out already :/
I think they look significantly more baller than the previous years'

Also if there's anyway you guys could get more of the black CJ T-shirts in a bigger size...would be cool

So guess who's buying a jacket? This guy. I'm super excited! Thanks for this opportunity k0re, you're a hero! :D

No idea why the shipping is so much higher this time around but I assume most of the cost is due to gas prices which means that the fuel surcharge is increased significantly.
|
I'd love to purchase, but i have a little problem.
United Parcel Service (XML) (0.5kg) Worldwide Express Saver $152.45
Imagine my total if i wanted to buy the jacket!
thats. $152.45 + $248.60 = $403!!!!!

I'm working on getting a Canada Post option where you don't get a tracking number and it takes a couple weeks to get to you. It'll be significantly cheaper but take a lot longer.

Awesome 35+ dollars for shipping/handling to California is a little much personally
If the shipping prices go down I'll def be buying some shit.

I would love an OGS jacket/t-shirt/jumper I'm not sure if its financially viable for you to get much SC2 stuff in at this time, but I'm the kind of person whos happy to shell out a bit more cash for this kind of thing.

So I just order normally from the store and it'll be one of those signed jackets? Got anything that'll fit a 6'2 dude?
|
Working on other team merchandise but it'll take time, the only reason CJ was so fast was because I'm close with the guy. Also, those white jackets, the 2008 - 2009, yes they are all signed by a CJ Entus player.
On a side note, anyone who placed orders before 2PM MST should be getting tracking numbers in a couple hours and I'll be dropping it off tomorrow on my way to work ^^.

New thread... so I go to check it out. Still mostly same product... still very few sizes available. Yeah, I'll check back in 6-12 months. Am I missing something here?

Thanks for all you do kOre, ive been keeping up with the site for awhile and finally got my chance to grab some gear today. I know the Oz gear has been a real problem for you but you have definitely handled it the best you could considering the circumstances surrounding the situation.

is there like alternative shipping option to korea?

I just honestly can't imagine it costs this much to make, purchase or ship...what is the reason that lilsusie could do it all for 1/5th the price, why is this the only shipping option, to make it cost 150 dollars to ship a shirt or jacket when things can be purchased on ebay for no shipping whatsoever. Something just seems off about these prices every time.

Something just seems off about these prices every time. You can enter in the SCM HQ address in UPS and then enter in your address as the receiver. That's the price you see there is what you will be paying. As for why UPS is the only option, there's no module (working on the Canada Post one) that'll work with the current version of the shopping cart that is being used.

I'm an American Medium, which corresponds to the Korean XL!

Savior's jacket would be... Oh Ma Jae Yoon, why couldn't you have been a little taller?!

I smiled like a little child.
Then I saw the prices and estimated the cost pre-delivery for a jacket, t-shirt and long sleeved shirt.

That + the small sizes made me sad. Good offer anyway!

Is your HQ and all the gear located in Canada? I'm currently living/studying in Seoul and i'm interested in buying some stuff, is there any chanse of picking this stuff up somewhere in Seoul?. It feels kind of waste of time/money if you have to send the stuff from Korea to Canada then back to Korea

Judging by the shipping, it looks like the items get sent from Korea to the buyer, directly. Have you thought about getting NA/EU/SEA distributors?
That way, you send to your distributors, and then they send to the buyers. While, it will make getting the items take longer, it will definitely cut down on shipping prices. 1 box with 20 tshirts is generally cheaper than 20 boxes with 1 tshirt each. Shipping 20 boxes locally, for the distributors, should also be cheaper.
|
It ships from Korea to Canada and then Canada to you, I believe.

It was $119 to Finland so it should be about the same for you i think. Really not sure why shipping is so expensive.. . I was going to buy CJ t-shirt too but when i saw that shipping cost as much as 3 shirts i changed my mind. Maybe its because he have to order everything from South Korea idk.

Shipping costs are sadly just too much
Nice initiative though! I'd totally love a CJ shirt or a KT keyboard bag

Mods, I apologize if this is in the wrong place, but I have a size 95 (equivalent to American small, IIRC) CJ Entus hoodie that I bought the last time kOre sold CJ Entus merch. I'm starting to bulk up and it doesn't really fit me anymore, so I'm looking to sell it to someone who will be able to get more use out of it. I can provide pics for those who are interested.
Again, I apologize if this is in the wrong place or against the rules because of advertising. I'm not sure if I should just post this here or make a new thread for it.
|
I've had a lot of speedbumps with my order that I placed for the old CJ gear but kOre is still a really great guy and no one should doubt his ability to get the goods to you. I know I'll be buying some SC2 gear once he gets it in.
Now shipping prices are a problem but that's largely out of his control :/

** UPDATE (May 13, 2011) **
A new shipping option has been added. It is only for those outside of North America and is somewhat cheaper than the UPS but it will take much longer. UPS shipping takes 3 days and Canada Post shipping will take 6 - 8 weeks.
|
IdrA's CJ jacket? Holy shit.
|
Jeez, 45 bucks for a CJ shirt? That had god damn better be the most comfortable shirt I've ever worn to make me pay that. It's too bad there's not more BW fans, maybe these prices wouldn't be so extreme.

I just hope the SC2 stuff is cheaper since there's more interest in SC2 right now.

And it's 45$ for a polo, which is a higher quality shirt than just a t shirt.

Lord... T.T If you click on "Update" and then "Continue" you should see a new option for Canada Post. If you're getting it sent to Blizzard HQ it should be around 25-30 not 103.

SC2 has failed to gain traction in South Korea compared to BW. That said, BW teams have been around longer and have bigger fanbases, so they have more leverage to have higher prices.

Really? That doesn't make sense to me. I mean, most big traditional sport clubs/teams make a really big part of their income with fan merch.

I would like to know why, it's pretty strange.

SKT tried to do this a couple years back and because they failed at making any sort of profit they stopped.

hey, as soon as you get the Slayers stuff, I want to buy some of that as long as its under 100 dollars U.S.

Almost everything is sold out. But anyway delivery is sick. Canada Post $100+ and ~$250 by UPS... really?

It's strange, seeing how Dignitas is able to sell personalized jerseys for a little more than $50 and hoodies for $70, shipping included - a flat rate for all over the world, and it's pretty fast too.
There's no way shipping fabric to Ukraine actually costs $100, so I think some better options are being left out.
