Oh boy.
Awesome. Where are you going to be visiting? Highly doubt it's Saskatchewan but if it is you can find me there!
Ontario. Going to be staying with family near London and visiting the places around. Niagara Falls, Toronto, likely a beach, maybe biking a nature trail, some nightlife, etc.
This is mine and waves neck of the woods we should def get in on some of that nightlife part. There is so much more to do in toronto if you are wanting to visit the landmarks etc.

I have the same headset as ketara
Got some Toronto tips? :3
hehe ive posted this twice to req and soniv in the past
Its the biggest city in canada, there is a pretty big amusement park; wonderland, the CN tower, center island, exhibition place and the CNE if you come in august, the royal ontario museum, ontario science center, it's the canadian hub for theatre and music and all the the sports places if you are into that. Its also pretty close to niagra which is like the only other destination candidate for you imo. So you can go see the falls on your way out or in, the niagra region is nice if you like wine and casinos.
I would highlight the royal ontario museum(ROM) and the ontario science center both of which are hella fun and educational. The Toronto Zoo is huge. The CN tower is tall and cool with the glass floor/hanging off the side in a harness thing but im not sure if its worth the price for the average tourist to go up. It is close enough to the entertainment district which is where you can find a bunch of nice restaurants and bars/clubs and right next to the acc and rogers center if you care to see a blue jays game while you are there (those tickets are super cheap). In Niagara I would highlight the butterfly conservatory which is pretty cool, a walk behind the falls or the maid of the mist(which is kinda pricey) mostly around there it is wine and casinos but just walking around the falls area is full of nice places/parks to look at. Clifton Hill is my favorite part of Niagara tho. its just a road full of haunted houses arcades wax museums restaurants and gift shops etc.

I don't get this reference, I try and forget that place exists.
I remember Soniv randomly mentioning how awful he finds it to be, and thought about that 'cause I initially read Dr.'s post as asking about Canadian girls, not Toronto.

oh aha yeah but that would only be a good place to ask if you wanted to know how to be an asshole to canadian girls

Man I've got a bit of whiplash from getting tossed by Rhode Island waves yesterday. They weren't that huge, but some were pretty big, and I was making sure my 9 yr old brother stayed afloat and was able to get through/over them all. He did pretty well (and got better throughout the day), but there were a few pretty large ones in quick succession that threw us pretty far. I consider myself a fairly strong swimmer, but making sure he was fine was top priority and it was one of the few times I've been scared by the waves.
Any good places for beaches? My family said Grand Bend/Pinery Provincial Park was pretty good.
I think we'll probably do only 1 or maybe 2 days in Toronto. I think we'll skip the CN Tower. I've been there before myself and didn't think it was that great. Zoo/Wonderland might be fun to do one day.
They also mentioned Tobermory? Would that be worth the trip?
Also nightclubs/bars? What are the general closing times? Dress codes? Pricing? Any good student bars with mostly young 20 folks?

CN Tower and Science Centre are massively overrated. And yeah Science Centre doesn't hold up anymore once you're older. I've done it within the past few years.
As far as nightclubs Toronto has a really good scene for that supposedly but as I was never one to frequent them there's not a lot I can tell you. Perhaps ask someone younger/more hip and with it?
I think Wasaga is the most popular beach, I hear Grand Bend is nice too.
Circa was the best nightclub a few years ago but im not sure if it still is. I actually rarely plan clubbing in toronto so im not too sure but that one sounds still like what you would be into. That site is good for checking out other ones in the aforementioned entertainment district too. Almost all clubs will start clearing people out at 2am because thats when they have to stop serving alcohol.
If your thinking wonderland I wouldnt go on a weekend. even in the summer its just insanely packed on saturdays/sundays to the point where you spend most your time in line.
I agree wasaga is awesome! it actually has like beach front strip with souveniers, tattoos, bars and a club. unlike most the other ones closer to toronto. unfortunately it is a fair distance away.
fuck you guys the science centre is awesome
apparently circa may be closed so i don't actually know what i'm talking about. which is a shame cause it was fucking awesome when i went.
pretty sad to learn batman arkam night isn't very good on PC cause it looked so damn cool in the trailers/gameplay previews and I got it for free with my MSI stuff.... still gonna try it. open world with gliding/batmobile too cool.

Pretty much everyone I know who bought it on steam is making use of the new return feature. Unless you have a super solid system it's apparently near-unplayable, and even then it's buggy as hell.
It makes me very unsympathetic to developers who complain that Steam Sales et al. are causing players to wait and buy games later for significantly less cost. Getting the game cheaper is nice, but getting the game when it's working and bundled with all the random pre-order DLC that got spread around God only knows how many retailers is by far nicer.
Basically, with reviews being near-useless, release day/week/month issues being common, and DLC often being a nightmare, consumers who aren't 100% hyped have every reason to sit back and wait.
I shouldn't have read in my bed (laying on the side) with my glasses on. Didn't fall asleep with them but it looks like they still twitched a bit, and now both that old one and the broken-repaired one end up making my head hurt or my vision have issues, and I won't be able to get an appointment till October.
