Yeah. Such horseshit. Love how jp's statement included that he dated her at one point but that had nothing to do with how he acted aka JP went super white knight. I was super into that show and it was the only good role play. Just sucks, I feel bad for Neal, guy put so much work into the new story.

oh wow, I missed that the first time I read through his statement
JP has honestly been the most annoying player for me to watch - he's always incredibly selfish and I feel like he metas his role play a lot. Gen used to bug me a bit, but she got a lot better.
I've been catching up on Rollplay Ehbon in Rollplay's off season, but this really is awful for the whole series of shows (although maybe good for Missclicks DnD lol). I guess we'll just have to what happens. Geoff seems like a cool dude, although definitely that meat-headed jock type. There were times he went too far, but JP really messed things up here.
man geoff annoys me. jp asked him in private many times to stop being so offensive. This time jp has to stop the show to ask him in private and geoff posts the convo?
how can you even think you can talk how ever you want on someone else's stream to their friends. or does he think he is the arbiter for whats offensive or not?
poor JP been kinda fucked over by two big names now.

From what I gathered, Geoff seemed to not be aware that people were being bothered. Even stranger, it seemed Gen didn't care for the most part, and it was JP overreacting to the role playing.
Now, I do think both parties are in the wrong. It's unfortunate to see, because I do like most of the content that JP puts out, and I really enjoy Geoff as an entertainer. In his shoutouts he would always say that he absolutely loved doing the show, so it's sad to see this happen.
It can be accurately be said, though, that JP was being a hypocrite - there have been several times I've hated the way he roleplayed, and he defended his own actions against chat in the final episode saying "I hate when people criticize others for role playing", and there have been times JP's character has been malicious towards other player characters.
As I said before, Geoff did step over the line once or twice, but he always seemed to cool down or pull himself back from the situation and somewhat rectify it. I think he's a stand-up guy, despite being a bit hot headed. He even hard defended JP the episode Bregor died. Yes, JP ran away from the 1 HP dragon, and chat reemed him out for it. Geoff (correctly) defended JP because there's no honest way JP could have known.
It's a shitty situation, and I hate to see the party torn apart like this, because the dynamic of all of them together was incredibly entertaining.
According to what I understand JP calmly paused the stream and took the conversation to private intending to resolve it and return to the show. But correct me if im wrong i didnt actually see it other than highlights. I really don't think its accurate to call that an over reaction. This is definitely not the first time he had to ask Geoff to not say obnoxiously rude shit and geoff lied about it too! Obviously Geoff went off the deep end and rage blogged instead of apologizing or taking it back or w.e. I also don't think its hypocritical to hate when people criticize others for roll playing but defend a certain level of language. People's reaction and side picking seems to be correlated to how offensive they find what he said. I'm no exception.
I find JP to be more at fault here than I do Geoff. Seeing as how we don't have all the information, and what people have said that Gen has said, I think JP is way out of line for saying/proceeding on his show the way he did. If he found it offensive then he is in the right, but to say that he has no right to say these things when Gen ultimately has no problem with Geoff is where I find this whole situation completely ridiculous.

Which is fine. It still makes him look silly. He (JP) is making a big deal out of something that isn't an issue to anyone else, but him. When it doesn't even involve his character in the game or him out of game.
That's from a personal level, which I think doesn't have anything to do with how JP is proceeding. It's more or less he just doesn't want to deal with how Geoff acts towards other people on his channel when things are in his name. I think he ultimately just doesn't want to be responsible for the actions Geoff takes with his words (misogynistic or otherwise, even if taken in poor context.)
and its true i have no idea what actually happened behind the scenes I just think pausing it to tell him not to talk like that is a reasonable thing to do. I can't imagine why they couldn't work it out quickly and get back to the game. Unless of course geoff pulled his usual victim self righteous ego act.
